Unigym

Probably the best gym in Hobart. Great atmosphere. Probably too expensive if you are not a student but still worth it. I come to this place every time I visit from Melbourne.

An AMAZING gym. I’ve been going for 5 years now and it’s honestly only gotten better!
The whole gym area upstairs has been updated with new equipment. The classes are amazing as usual, with coaches who know their stuff and DRIVE you. Ive been catered for through every injury from hips to knees to wrists etc.

Kate and Kelly at the desk are super super lovely and helpful, they go out of their way all the time to assist you.

Luke, Nicole, Mat, Anna Maria, Holly and Kelly are all amazing coaches who provide you with top quality classes every.single.time.

Trust me, you’ll try it out once, and you’ll never wanna leave! 😂

Great for all ages, the age diversity is really great here from young people right up to older people. You start to get to know everybody on a personal level and it becomes kind of like a family.

If you are new to the whole gym experience, or are just looking for a gym in general, I can not recommend Unigym enough!!

I have been a member across the past 3 years, the gym is always clean and it has excellent facilities. Excellent equipment for both strength training and cardio. Apart from the gym space the gym also runs a wide range of classes and multiple time points which are great and offer something for everyone. I would highly recommend, Unigym Hobart is excellent value for money. It is really accessible for students especially which is great.

Definitely the best gym experience I've had! Luke and the team run a fantastic gym, with classes to suit everyone. Their equipment is new, and they always greet me with a smile at reception or in class. Highly recommended, and great value to boot!

By far the best gym I've ever been to. The classes and trainers are top level - unlike other hiit-type franchises, trainers at unigym know each member and ensure that you're working at your best whilst being safe. I've reached my peak strength and fitness thanks to the support of the unigym community. Plus, all staff are amazing people so the sense of community is great. Oh and all top level equipment!

A great value, unassuming gym. It's certainly not a space reserved purely for students. Locals, uni staff and more frequent this place and the new, modern facilities are a step above many other Hobart gyms.

Best gym in Hobart ever!!! I have joined in unigym as a member for more than 3 years. They have all classes that I want to attend, such as yoga, boxing, and Zumba. With fully equipped facilities, I would like to recommend this gym to my friends.

I've tried many different gyms around the world, and the UNIGYM is one of the best ones staff-wise. Equipment is like in many other places, all new and well maintained, but it's the staff who makes it different! 🤗 From the reception to the coaches to all sport community - all super friendly, welcoming, and considerate! It's a great family-like vibe, can't ask for more. A big shout out goes to coach Luke who knows how to motivate and keep people coming back (it's been three years now!)! Thanks for making my life fit and sane during my PhD journey here in Tassie.

Honestly the best gym I've been to in Tasmania. The gym has a great vibe, the staff are helpful and welcoming, equipment is kept well and the patrons are generally decent. The vending machines are heaps good aswell ;).

Just a great place to be. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them and they're always there to help out.
The facilities are decent for the price you pay and the group fitness classes like HIIT are incredibly good.

Just joined UniGym last month and have been really impressed with both the friendly staff and the fantastic facilities. I had a personalised fitness plan established with a qualified trainer after my first week of joining. The upstairs gym area also has nice shiny new equipment to use and smart floor plan with both free weights and machines all well maintained and kept nice and clean. There is a wide selection of fitness classes to also choose. I have no hesitation in recommending UniGym….. I even convinced a mate of mine to join yesterday!

As a 71 year old diagnosed with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, I have a need for regular, safe exercise in an environment that is welcoming and friendly and staffed by people who are trained in all aspects of health and fitness. I am lucky to have found all this at Unigym - there are members from all walks of life, of different ages, shapes, and levels of fitness. There is plenty of equipment, lots of choices of classes to participate in, and there are personal trainers available. I have never felt intimidated or that I shouldn't be there because I don't fit the 'beautiful and young mould' that is quite often portrayed in gym advertising material.

I have been going to Unigym for 8 years and love the HIIT and INTV Classes with Luke and his team. Staff and always super helpful and friendly. Great equipment upstairs and heaps of different classes so you can always mix it up. Such good value if you are a student!

Excellent facilities, friendly staff, great classes and good value for money! Would highly recommend uni gym to anyone who is starting out with exercise or wanting to take their fitness to the next level

Unigym staff are good listeners who respond promptly and effectively to queries and have a sense of humour. The gym meets the diverse needs of people who like group fitness classes as well as those of us who are solitary weight-lifters. There's some very good cardio equipment, resistance machines, and a full range of free weights. Some of the machines are more suitable for tall people than short, but Unigym provides plenty of alternatives. Members of the public are welcome to join, not just UTas students and staff. I appreciate the safety measures to protect us all from covid-19, and the self-check-in system currently in operation, while not entirely ideal, is a good compromise in the current circumstances.

Friendly and professional staffs on the front desk. Such a great place for workout, plenty fitness classes to chose from. 5 stars for the group fitness classes! Keep it up UniGYM.

Love this gym! been going here for 3+ years now, the staff are super warm & friendly and the pricing is really great especially as a Uni student ☺
