Hill Street Grocer Sandy Bay

Very nice local IGA with some different brands to choose from. Great flower and pot area for gifts. Nice open selection of cheeses and Deli.
My only negative would be the aisles are very narrow making it difficult to social distance. The staff are very attentive when needing assistance and will put all hands on the cash registers when there seems to be a line growing.
Grab the deals magazine for great discounts and nice recipe ideas.

They have my favourite drink! I barely ever see it in other stores. It is in a great location. Produce is excellent. My favourite part of it all has got to be the big sign out the front of the store it is perfect for photos! The sign is also useful as I often get lost on busy roads.

Great choice of everything needed, 9/11 bottleshop with a good choice right next door, close to Wrest Point Casino to stock up on essential items that you can't get in house at WP (chips, dips, cravings etc) and an easy drive to get to.

Hundreds' different types of cheese can be found here. Great quality and quantity, better deals than any place in Tassie. Come over gave a look, then you will agree with me.

We just got coffee here after breakfast, I wish I hadn't, the cafe there had amazing looking pastries and other breakfast items. I also had a walk around the "supermarket" side, it's not like your average supermarket, very upmarket with great looking produce.

A part of the Hill Street boutique grocer chain. They sell a great selection of high-end products and quality fruit and veg. In addition, there is a café connected to the store which makes excellent coffee and is staffed by very efficient and skilled baristas. The manager (?) of the café (Donny) is very friendly and professional - he even makes an effort to remember the names of regulars, which is a nice touch.

What a wonderful place to shop for fresh and gourmet foods. Staff lovely too

How good is Hill Street Grocer in Tassie. I have lived in all states in Australia, and nowhere can you find a boutique grocer like Hill Street. I was doing some running up to Mt Nelson on Sunday morning and parked in the Sandy Bay Hill St carpark before it opened. When I had finished running I had a hankering for some pastry which they always have a great range of. The Sandy Bay store is amazing. It has its own cafe, and the setout is just mind blowing. I got a lamington and I had to get it out of the shop window. I felt like I was disturbing the display but that is how they want it. I go to three different stores around Hobart. They are all different but they all have the same high standards in common. I love Hill Street.

My partner and I love everything about this little store. They have a great range and everything is beautifully displayed and inviting especially the cheese area. The man that is usually in the cheese area is always particularly helpful and friendly and seems to be genuinely interested and knowledgeable about the products. It's also handy to be able to not just get fresh coffee beans, but to be able to grind them in store too! We've not found the prices to be inflated either which is important for us. This store makes grocery shopping a pleasant experience.

Fantastic go to place when catering for large party. All the foods I purchased here were fresh and my guests loved their herb crusted chicken especially and also their cheese area is brilliant. The only place I could get fresh figs too. It's impossible to go into the store and leave with just the things you need you end up buying more so we're stocked and the design is well thought-out.

The Florist Sangita is an amazing florist! Makes beautiful bouquets and amazing customer service! 10/10!

Good quality grocery shop only can be found in Tasmania. Fruit and vegetable here are absolutely way much better than other shops, so fresh.
Have good quality dessert and cheese.
Highly recommendable if needed some great fresh food!

We went into this shop to get some flowers late in the day thinking they would have a couple of flowers but wow!! This place is amazing. A florist on site, fresh fruit and veggies and a great variety of local products
