Howitt Park

What a lovely park on the banks of the Ovens River.
It’s very well equipped with a large kids playground, which will help to tire them out, picnic tables, BBQ’s, water, bins and a river to play in (maybe the summer 😂)
There are also plenty of toilets around and a good carpark.
A must visit spot but so pretty in the winter.
There’s also a slide into the river during the summer.

Great park! Kids had lots of fun. Big area for the kids to rum around and explore. Definitely a place to go back to in summer so kids can have water play. The sound of the river made me relax.

Great park. Very close to Bright Splash Park.
Gets busy during peak times like Easter weekend.

What a fabulous park it is!! Really amazing!! We spent almost the whole day there and we enjoyed, especially our kido, a lot. This fantastic park has got an array of activities to do and people of all ages can have fun here. The river and splash/water park is its main attraction as it's got an ample number of great activities/games for kids. We'd love to go back there again and again!!!

This is a great pit stop if you’re on the way to Hotham. It’s a beautiful place and has a big playground for the children to play. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around this park.

Suitable for the whole family. A lot kids and adults enjoy the water in the river. Bright Market hold every 3rd Saturday for the month. Most products are local and handmade.

Vibrant park with river and kids swings. Good place to relax and have food. Kids can enjoy the swings and play area.

Great spot for swimming and river stone play in summer. And for a barbecue in any season!! Lovely grassy area, green and leafy, plenty of shade on a hot summer’s day.

We love this park.
Whenever we are in Bright we make sure we go here.
Across the road are plenty of food outlets and restaurants, we tend to get fish and chips on the lawn while the kids play.
There are many different pieces of equipment for the kids to explore and one of the underrated features is that most of the park is under cover, which makes it suitable for pretty much any type of weather.
