Café Westend

Excellent quick service from friendly attentive waiter. Had choice of table, good coffee and reasonably priced food. Recommend trying the Schnittlauchbrot! The place has a great classic ambience yet not dated and classy. Underrated cafe, highly recommended!

Such a lovely resto-bar. We went for dinner a few beers and of course the very famous Strudel!!! Mmmmmm it was exactly as we liked it!! Reasonable prices. Very good service. Nice environment. Recommended for sure!

The food is great. We loved the Viennese Schnitzel & the potato salad, the beer isn't too expensive, and the service is good.

The atmosphere is excellent, creating a perfect setting for a delightful dinner. Overall, a highly recommended spot for a wonderful dining experience.

Excellent option for late Breakfast with Viena Breakfast options. The service is 10/10 they speak english and are always very attentive. Food service is quick and has many great options for Breakfast or Lunch. The atmosphere of this places is beautiful so I imagine in Winter is fantastic, the only issue is that now in Summer the heat inside it feels way too much. They need to add urgent some ventilation inside like fans or I don’t know because at moments it feels very hot. They have also options to sit outside though but sometimes is busy by other customers of course. From the rest amazing place, I highly recommend it! Please try the desserts also and the coffee is very good.

This place is amazing totally recommend. Is not so expensive for everything you have, good food, great coffe, good service an excellent atmosphere. Totally recommend it. I had a great breakfast there🥰

I’m glad I came when it’s reopened again. I knew that from the reviews 🫣😅 I’ve been coming to Vienna for many years and every year I come, I make sure to have a breakfast at least once here.

Usually I don't expect much from places near railway stations, but Cafe Westend is a cosy and nice place to be if you want to spend some time before your train or bus departure. Can't say about the food, I didn't take it here, but the coffee was good. And in general this place has a good old Vienna vibe.

We found the cafe by pure accident as we stayed in Vienna at the Intercity Hotel just round the corner. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff excellent as neither my partner nor I speak German. The cafe was obviously popular with the locals which was a very good sign. The food was excellent and reasonably priced in a city with a reputation for being expensive. Menus were printed in English and German which was a great help with staff always ready to help.
If we return to Vienna we will certainly go back again.

A friend made a reservation for a meeting 2 weeks in advance and when we got there the place was full and they had ofcourse forgotten about our reservation. They fumbled to get us a place and managed to put us at the very back hall which was isolated, no heating and mind you it was still cold( wouldn’t mind if it was Sommer). Blankets came 50mins underway our meeting. The gorgeous lady who served us was very kind and was the only reason we stayed otherwise, I would never book that place again

Terrific classic Austrian Café with good traditional dining options. Atmosphere is just great, the staff is friendly and attentive. We were for diner and had Schnitzel and Eiernockerl twice now and it is just perfect. Only downside is they don't offer any Austrian beer (at least at time of this writing), which I find particularly odd since Westend can be considered a historic and well-established Viennese Café, i.e., a real classic with quite a history.

Just a fantastic place .. beautiful location .. the food and service both are excellent. We went for breakfast. The place opens early at 8 am itself .

A beautiful cafe! Offers eggs in ways that were familiar to us Americans. The crystal chandeliers and soft piano music were a relaxing way to start the day.

A gorgeous place to spend an hour or two. Sadly it was redecorated a few years ago and the decades of tar-streaked walls from many many cigars, pipes and cigarettes have gone, as have the mid-century phone booths. A shame. But there's still plenty of its 130 year interior design history left to ogle.

The service was swift and friendly and the coffee was very good.
