Restaurant Bombay

This place is a hidden gem. We're very glad to have discovered it (through TheFork). Once you enter, the ambiance speaks for itself (candlelit dinner, enough said).

The staff were extremely kind and nice and really actively trying to make sure we have the best experience. Like, when my girlfriend like choked a bit and quietly coughed, within mere seconds we got served an extra glass of water without even asking. Amazing service.

The food is very high quality, exotic, genuine (I believe) and notably changed my overall opinion on raisins in food. Normally I'm not a fan of raisins added to things, but in Indian cuisine it actually really works, so the issue is not the raisins but how western cuisine fails to use them. Woosh.

This restaurant is definitely where I'd recommend going to try real Indian cuisine, and the price of our candlelit dinner was really great value as well. We'll be back. ^-^

PS. Definitely recommend trying the "mango lassi with water" drink.

Very nicely cooked food. It was freshly prepared and also lots of quantity. We all want a good taste and that's what you get here too. Staff is friendly and kind. I would recommend anyone who wants to try Indian food to visit this place as you will definitely get an idea of what Indian food is like if you visit this place.

Visited bcs of the good reviews and we've not been disappointed. This gem turned out to be one of the best Indian restaurants for us so far. The service was nice and warm. Made us feel welcome. Most important as well: We loved the food. It was absolutely delicious. At our next stay in Vienna, we for sure will visit restaurant Bombay again and we're actually looking forward to it.

The food was delicious! Very affordable, sizable portions. Servers were friendly, and professional but a little overwhelmed. I suggest reservations as the place was packed on a Sunday night. While we were there, a busload of Indian tourists arrived for dinner in the banquet room. We thought that was a great testament to the authenticity of the food. Please tell your server about how you like your spices. I asked for medium spicy and it was perfect. We will return for sure.

As you enter and you go down the stairs one wonders what is in store on the well laid out table.Tables are arranged in fours and very comfortably placed. Food was delicious and satisfying. Getting Indian food before your taste buds crave for them ..the feeling was exhilarating. They had seating outside too and a lot many visitors do enjoy the Indian food I bet.

Waiters are perfect, they talk in english (as our German isn't perfect at all 🤣😂) they are very kind and concerned about how we are doing. Even got a free digestive at the end 🥰

Didn't got our desired dessert but it's our fault, wanted ice cream, we got a hot dessert (Coco ball with sirop) because of a misunderstanding. 😂😂 We watched at each other and laughed with my friend and ate it happily, nice surprise ! 😂😂 🥰😋

I really enjoyed the food there. It had authenticate indian taste, without addition of too much cream or yoghurt. The owner, staff all were really freindly and helpful. It was really nice to sit there and eat after walking through Vienna till noon :)

I tried multiple Indo/Pak restaurants in Vienna but, THIS WAS THE BEST!!! The food was great!! Their chapati and paratha taste like home made chapati (roti). Their service, waiters are the sweetest. if you're want to eat the best desi food, just go to this restaurant!!
