Café Rüdigerhof

I was looking for the best schnitzel in Austria, my first location was booked so I tried here. I was not hopeful because I was sad the first one was not possible.

I WAS SO WRONG.

It was delicious, I really understood why is such a famous dish. Since then, I've been thinking about it constantly, wanting to eat another one.

Also, and more important, the people were lovely and the place was beautiful.

TIP: bring cash, they didn't accept card.

The place had multiple seating options (indoor, outdoor) and was a nice place to have dinner at night (food till 11pm & only drinks after). The staff was extremely friendly. They helped us select the local food cuisine :)

This is a stylist old Austria cuisine place.
You can come to eat delicious and cheap Wiener schnitzel.
Waiters were polite and speaking very good english.
It is nothing for me but better to mention;
There iare 2 point that should be improved
One is still using "cash only" title
Other is ventilation system since all of the place smells like fried meat

For Italians: the coffee machine is Cimbali and the blend is Illy

Great food! Good price for the city. But be aware that you have to pay by cash!!

-1 in the atmosphere because people are allowed to smoke there and, since the tables are really close by, you do smell it

Nice café. Ordered mulled wine, latte, hot chocolate, and mango cake. The pastry was too good and mulled wine was great! Friendly staff. Note that they accept only cash (€).

10/10. One of my best food experiences in Europe. I was there on July 6, around midnight. They were still serving food which is a huge advantage. Ordered a pork schnitzel and radler, both were incredible! Atmosphere is chill, staff overall is OK, the waiter girl was one of the kindest people I've seen in Central Europe.

One of the best restaurants, where you can eat authentic Austrian food. I ordered schnitzel, potato salad and a draught beer. Everything was delicious! I also ordered the very famous Austrian dessert, kaiserschmarrn. It was super tasty! Very recommended place. Super friendly staff that goes out of its way to make you feel welcomed as well!

A place I visit since 20 years regularly. A very old traditional coffeehouse with a mixed crowd of student's, artist's, people working on their laptops, not many tourists. In the summer they open their uge Terrasse which is a fantastic place with big trees spending shadow. Perfect for being there on a hot summers afternoon. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent coffee.

I went there with my gf and the vibe is just so authentic and traditional that you never wanna leave. We had the perfect first night in Vienna , with incredible and massive traditional plates and delicious beers. What made it even better was a group of locals playing cards at the table next to us, definitely recommend.

A local place offering decent price and delicious dishes.
Very helpful and friendly staff.

Nice place in an iron-house

Perfect schnitzel and beer place. Cozy atmosphere, nice service and low prices. Cash only, ATM 300m South. It's smoking inside, so if you don't like the cigarette smell, then this is not the place. If you sit outside in the summer, then it's much less smell. Could have some music.

Everything is really delicious. One disadvantage - lack of English menu, what surprised me because most of tourist cities have English menu

Busy and still the service was good. Food was plentiful and reasonably priced. Building was beautiful.

A charming place, with a beautiful garden and an authentic interior from the middle of the last century. The food is good, the prices are ok.

Great local place for breakfast! The staff is friendly and speaks English for non-German speakers. They also have English menus too. Service was quick and the outdoor patio area is very relaxing to sit and sip your coffee or tea.

Great service and very interesting decor. Good place to sit around and eat food, maybe read a book. Smoking allowed and cash only.
