Alexander Berger "Der Lockenspezialist"

I went to Lockenspezialist (Curl Specialist) Alexander Berger for the first time today and I am thrilled with the result. He cut and styled my curls perfectly and gave me lots of tips on how to care for and treat them (I had absolutely to little knowledge before). He has a very broad knowledge of curls and how to style them and was able to answer all of my questions. He also recommended various products that I can buy in other stores and did not try to sell me his own products and he also mentioned that in two weeks time if any complaint arises (concerning the haircut) he will take care of it free of charge which is a sign of integrity. I found that very honest and likeable.

The only downside is that he is quite expensive. I had to pay 134 euros for the haircut (I was perfectly aware of the cost beforehand), which is more than I would normally spend. But I think you pay for his expertise and experience, and that's worth it to me. He was also very fast and efficient. My appointment was scheduled for an hour, but he was done in 35-40 minutes. That saved me time and I was very happy with the service.

I can only recommend Lockenspezialist (Curl Specialist) Alexander Berger if you want beautiful and healthy curls. He is a real professional and a nice person. I will definitely go back to him even though he was the bearer of bad news (hair thinning) for me but do not hate the messenger hate the message instead.

Extremely satisfied. After having had some hair loss my curls didn't look as good anymore. So happy with the result now, even after having washed and styled it again myself. Besides knowing what he's doing, Alexander is also a generally nice person! :)

Alexander is such a knowledgeable and professional hair stylist. He listens to you carefully, decides on your type and hair how to work with it, and is refreshingly honest.
Today, I walked out the salon after my appointment and was the happiest curly girl in the world. He deserves 5 stars and you should not hesitate to book him if you have waves, really crazy curls like me, or need to be cured from other stylist traumata!

As a new resident in Vienna, I have recently had my first appointment with Alexander Berger. I am very pleased with the services provided to me, both haircut and color as well as Alexanders good advice on how to work the curls in my hair :-) He is an absolute professional and I can highly recommend him.

It was a lovely experience! Alexander was punctual and friendly. He cut my hair so that I can donate it. He speaks English and Spanish fluently so it was cool to mix all of our common languages together with German! The price was perfect and his products smell delicious! The salon was very clean and easy to get to. I will for sure go back to him for my haircuts!

As a lifelong member of the curly haired crew, I have had more than a couple terrible hair cuts in my life. Alexander knows his stuff. He understands the challenge that one can go through with curly locks and he appreciates how hard it can be to get your curl going and to keep it. As a stylist his manner was relaxed, friendly and he very willing to talk me through how to approach wash day and how to get the most out of my curls. Not only did I get my hair cut, I also left with more knowledge on how to manage it. Having lived in Vienna for a more than a few years, it was a welcome relief and a pleasure to come across someone is an expert in his field but who also handles his customer with care and attention. I will definitely return and would recommend a visit to "Der Lockenspezialist" anytime.

I recently had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Alexander and I can confidently say it was the best haircut I've had for my curly hair in a very long time. Not only did it look great in the salon, but it looked just as amazing when I washed my hair at home. Alexander was very friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere that made the entire experience enjoyable. Additionally, he gave me great advice on how to style my hair on my own to keep it looking great every day. He speaks English fluently, which was a huge bonus for me as I don't speak German very well. I can only highly recommend Alexander for anyone looking for a great curly haircut and a pleasant salon experience.

For the first time in years in Vienna I had an amazing experience getting a curly cut!
I have 3c curly hair which is pretty curly and not easy to cut but Alex really took his time to ask what I wanted. He was extremely respectful and kind and easy to talk to, he’s fluent in English which was perfect! I left his place with a big smile on my face 😊 the cut was super neat and the customer service was incredible! Will definitely go to him from now onwards, I highly recommend him!

Very nice and surprisingly positive experience. I have to say that I was very sceptical because it is extremely hard ti find hairdresser for curly hair, using healthy products, styling hair without aggressive dryers and hair brushes and giving even advices how to style your hair on your own at home. Plus speaking many different languages :)

I have never left a hair salon feeling so happy as after my visit with Alex! I have very curly and unruly hair that no one knows what to do with. In the past I have always left the hair salon with either my hair in a bun (only to wash and restyle when I get home), still wet or blow dried straight. After my visit with Alex my hair had curls that were defined, soft and FRIZZ FREE and that were bouncy and shiny. My hair has never looked as nice before and I couldn’t believe it when I saw the final result! Alex is very talented, nice and accommodating! I am so happy I have found a hairdresser that knows what to do with my hair! I am very much looking forward to the next time!

Alex is a great hairdresser! Not only is he an expert in curly hair, but he also tailors the cut according to your styling preferences! The first time I went there, he told me my previous cut was rather for straight hair and advised cutting it differently. I agreed and it looked beautiful, but I had difficulties styling my new haircut at home. So I went back to Alex after a couple of days and explained my difficulties and preferences and he offered a new appointment, where he cut my hair again according to my preferences! My new cut is gorgeous and I feel much more confident styling it now!!
I really have to thank Alex for it! He was extremely understanding and told me I have to feel happy and comfortable with my cut! And then he used his expertise to create the perfect cut for me!!

I enjoyed getting to know the stylist, who knew so much about curly hair and how to attend to my haircut and its styling with the attention the curly hair needs (both in the way it needs to be shaped and products to apply for a final touch). And I liked the final result very much. It seems I have found my hairstylist for the time I am in Vienna :)

Alexander is the best, the most professional and friendly hairdresser I’ve ever had! He is really the master of curly hair! It was a very pleasant experience! Once I looked in the mirror, my mind was totally blown - I LOVE my new style, hair and cut! And I must say, this is the first hairdresser, that made me feel absolutely happy with my new style. I was there with my daughter, we were both greeted by Alexander with a great smile and fantastic humour. We both were there for the first time and felt at home. Alexander explained in detail the structure of our hair and reasons why it could be damaged, he explained how he would cut it and if we are happy with that. Alexander cut my hair in a perfect way, now I finally have my bouncy curls back. He is also very honest and won’t cut anything that won’t look good. Super happy with the haircut, would higly recommend!!
