Sigmund Freud Park

(Last visit: Aug 2022) A quiet park in the city center. It seems Vienna is riddled with them. People stop by, sit or lay down for minutes, chat, etc. Each park has their thing. I wonder about the history of this one as it hosts a granit table with ten chairs representing Eastern European countries… ?

Next to Freud's office, the park has a wide green area and a very beautiful cathedral. People use public spaces a lot and what I enjoyed the most was seeing people reading in parks. There are also many cafes and bars around and people playing classical instruments. Despite a hot day, it was a very good atmosphere.

Great park for both quick stops and spending afternoon with family and friends. We spent almost two hours there. Despite the crowd, it was quite peaceful. we even had a chance for listening an open-air concert from a young classic band. It is also great place for open-air lunch.

The park is smaller, but there are a lot of benches. Also there's a public WiFi(Austrian Free Wifi) in the area which was useful.

A very peaceful park with an amazing view of Votivkirche. We decided to grab a chair and chill before venturing out to more attractions. I actually had the best nap.

A great piece of green in the middle of the city. Even though its surrounded by busy roads and trams, you can find some peace and leisure there. Grass field, benches, some tables...all you need to have a lunch under the open sky.

Though the weather was cloudy , I started my morning walk from here.

Nature's green palette amidst the city with utter peace and chairs to relax.

This is a very nice park to spend a few green hours. There are some benches and tables, but most people/students just sit in the grass when the weather is warm. Sometimes there are promoters who let you try food and drinks for free. Sadly there's sometimes litter in the grass (mostly cigarettes), but it's usually barely noticeable.

Amazing place to relax, read a book, or just enjoy the beauty of Vienna

This is a great little Urban park. It is a very nice place to relax in the shade and take a break. They have a large number of lawn chairs that you can move to wherever you like. Depending on where you sit WiFi is available. Although it maybe spotty. It is nice that there is a place to rest comfortably as you plan the rest of your day. Or just to take a chance to be outdoors and get a breath of fresh air.

A beautiful park named after Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, located in a kind of crossroads between several remarkable avenues, with a beautiful Gothic church in front of it. The only sensitive point is that the area is very busy and the park is not very large and that there are only a few trees inside, making it unlikely to be polluted by drains. However, quite nice.

I hate that man. Changed the perception lf world.

Unparalleled views of Votivkirche!

Nice park to rest during your walk across Wienna. Remembering Sigmund Freud and begginings of modern psychology science, you can sit and rethink your life or just relax. Free chairs you can lent to sit on the grass across the park, relax and then just put back are great idea!!
