We would love to share our experience with IEYA as we are so happy with the school!!
We moved to Vienna and my daughter joined the school on day 2 of our arrival.
They welcomed her so warmly and made sure she is super comfortable.
My daughter usually is very shy and does not leave me but to my surprise she was so happy in the school that she didn't want to come back home.
The teachers are so loving and caring and a big mention to Marlene (the principal)
She is so warm and caring and very helpful not just in respect to the school but even for us settling in Vienna
They make kids learn in a very organic manner and hands on experience with the topic they are teaching, for example taking the kids to the airport and explaining them about plains!!
My daughter has learnt so much and I'm so happy that she joined the school!
I highly recommend and Thank International Early Years academy
❤❤

IEYA is a lovely, warm, hidden gem of a Nursery/ Kindergarten in the 18th District. When we first relocated to Vienna from Dubai we were on the lookout for a nursery for our youngest daughter. We were hoping to find one which was able to provide the warmth, care, infrastructure, international teachers and educational foundation we had with our two older children when they attended nursery in Dubai.
We were so very happy to have met Marlene, the Nursery Manager, and her team and visit this lovely nursery prior to our relocation. She was able to provide us with a comprehensive tour to the nursery, a beautiful building with lots of character, set up with love and the children’s interest at heart. Each classroom is really large with big bright windows and beautifully decorated with all the educational toys, books and supplies you could expect. There are two huge outdoor areas for the children to play in, filled with equipment and toys to engage the children, which is outstanding and not a common find for being within the city of Vienna. They have excellent parent communication through a Parent App, which allows parents to view weekly learning objectives of the children, photos, communications and monthly news letters etc. and Marlene and staff are always there to meet you in the morning during drop off as well and have a little chat if needed which is a nice personal touch.
The teachers have all been so warm and welcoming and genuinely look like they love their work, which is so very important as I personally feel the children can sense it and it makes them feel settled and secure when going into school. I have been impressed by how quickly my daughter has settled into her new routine, she goes into school with big smiles, waves goodbye and then runs to her teachers for a big hug. Its always a big smile and run over to me for a hug with her telling me a story of her day when I pick her up again.
Another plus for us was that the school follows the Read, Write, Inc Phonics program, which is something we had with our two older children previously in Dubai. We found it truly laid the foundation for their ability to read, help blend words and eventually form their spelling ability as well, which can be seen with my eldest child.
I would say while the fees are slightly higher than the standard private kindergartens in Vienna, if it's within your means it is money well worth spent and something you will not regret. With all the above points and the Read Write Inc program as well it made IEYA a sure choice for us with our youngest daughter and we have not looked back since.

IEYA is a great pre-school. Teaching and care are very high quality, and most importantly my kids are so happy there. They skip into school in the morning and have brilliant relationships with the teachers and staff. Lovely garden as well. The atmosphere is caring and fun. There is a nice balance between academic focus and other activities. Fully recommended!

IEYA is an amazing place to work. The team is so supportive and works so well together. You are also supported as an employee and are given extra help with whatever you need in and outside the job. The welcoming environment of the school and the thought-out curriculum allows a lot of fun learning for the children in a loving environment and it is a pleasure to teach at the school.

The International Early Years Academy, located in a picturesque building in the 18th district, provides the little learners with a loving, fun and exciting atmosphere. The light-flooded, airy and spacious rooms make a terrific environment where the students learn in small groups with a maximum of 15 kids from very loving, warmhearted and respectful teachers.

All the caregivers at IEYA provide a perfect and harmonious environment for the precious little ones, to make them feel like part of a big
family.

The academic and cognitive development takes great priority and children are motivated by a variety of inspiring learning opportunities (yoga, dancing, science, … ). The individual needs of each student
are being identified and supported. Teachers go way beyond normal lesson plans into effective and supportive education on a cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural level. It is important for each and every single teacher to empower, motivate and support the students in
every way possible. The beautiful and spacious garden inspires the young students for great outdoor adventures.

All in all, IEYA is a top-quality, highly professionel environment that offers warmhearted and loving care to your children.

Hello,
I have read a few reviews about not being native English speakers, not only in this School but in others too. I think it is not important if you are native or not, of course it is always good to have native speaking teachers, but it is more important to have teachers from different countries, with a deep and good knowledge of English, as nowadays English is considered a lingua franca and it is used for so many things (businesses, international environments, jobs all over the world, etc.) and all children that are learning English as a second language will also have an accent, of course, and that is the beauty of it, and if they are exposed to adults speaking English with different accents is only going to enrich their language skills and learning experience. I am saying this as an Early Years Teacher with an open mind and background and experience working in International environments. So please parents, do not judge teachers and assistants for having an accent, as they might have great skills and tons of experience that will enrich your children.
Best wishes

Our 2 girls attended IEYA for the last 2 years and they absolutely loved it. Small classes with lots of personal attention and professional staff providing top learning and development. Birthday celebrations and after school activities provided for the proverbial cherry on the cake!

IEYA is one of those rare jewels in the area of the 18th and 19th districts, specially for a bilingual family with an intelligent and sensitive child. The school is true to its mission of being child-centered.

It is certainly not inexpensive to send your child to this English Nursery, Kindergarten and Pre-school but the teachers and administrators are an exception in a country where early childhood education is not given much importance.

I specially recommend the pre-school programs for 4-5 and 5-6 year old children. These programs prepare the children for the rigours of school, specially if they have been attending traditional Austrian day care centers without a literacy program. The pre-school prepares the children for international schools, for schools with advanced curricula such as Montessori schools and for traditional rigorous Austrian primary schools.

My child loves going to pre-school, not only because of his friends and teachers but also because of the engaging curriculum he looks forward to everyday.

What a gem of a nursery! Very unusual to find a preschool like IEYA in Vienna, they actually focus on each child’s individual development, and they all seem to have so much fun and make great progress there. Highly recommend!

Best Kindergarden in town - for many reasons. This is a place led with excellence and care, love and attention to detail. A place where kids can thrive. Our little ones just love to go every morning and always come back with a smile on their face - they‘ve made friends, they learn new things every day and they feel at home.
As a mom of three I can only say that I couldn’t have wished for any place more suitable for the early educational years.
