It’s open only on the first Sunday of each month. However it’s free and absolutely worth a visit.

There are tours (in German) starting at 12:30.

Nice exhibition of tanks in the authentic environment of military barracks very authentically underlined by the smell of diesel and oil. Certainly worth a visit. Personally, I would appreciate more WW II equipment.

It's well named - a hall full of tanks. Actually, it is also SPGs, light infantry vehicles and troop carriers. At some of them there is stairs so you can have a look inside the tower.

Part of the Military History Museum, only open in weekends.

The hall works 1 hour less than the museum. So if you don't know this and you plan to see the museum first and tank hall after in afternoon you are quite screwed. We managed to see the tanks for TEN minutes!

There are a lot of tanks in great condition. From ww2 shemans and jagpanzer 38 t to modern tank like Leopard 2a4. Really nice to spend time.

I like this place.I was there with my both sons and they like everything in this hall.Historical panzer car and tanks was beutifull,together with war muzeum that was one off the best muzeum visit in Vienna.

A hall filled with different types of tanks, there are stairs next to few of them so you can climb up to take a look inside so it's a very interesting experience with a lot of information about the tanks. Definitely recommend!

Missing the German Tiger

I was in 7th heaven seeing all the amazing tanks!!!

Yesterday I had my first visit to the "Panzerhalle". It was really impressing to see all those tanks. I had started with tanks built at the beginning of the 20th century, and ended with those which were built at the end of the 20th century. If I remember correctly, there were no tanks from the 21st century.
The guide, which explained a lot of things concerning the logistics which are necessary for tanks, was really excellent.
It was a great experience.

The only thing I was missing, is that there was no possibility to get into a tank and experience that feeling. Furthermore, in some other museums there are kind of simulators to get in touch with the objects even more. But, to be honest, those museums have much more funding I guess.

If you're trackhead you have to visit. Most of the tanks used by Austria are here, you can look inside even. Impressive.

Great experience. They have a good selection of armored vehicles, mostly german/austrian, a few from US and several Russian.

Fantastic experience at the Panzerhalle. Curator was very accommodating, full of information and obvisouly very passionate. It was a true pleasure to visit.

Great museum to see something new, exposition is mostly Cold War tanks and garage is kinda not that big but still good museum, good exposition.
