The best Semmel (Viennese roll) I've had in a long time! Authentic and perfect consistency/flavour.
Mohnstriezel (Waldviertler poppy seed braids) was good too.
Their breads are the best!
Prices are high but worth it.

What a great bakery! Small, cozy and delicious options. They have a lot of bio options, breads, pastries and really good coffee. Come here for take away breakfast on your way to the office to your tour. My recommendations would be the bread twist with cheese and bacon & banana walnut muffin 😋😋

During our christmas weekend in Vienna, we stayed near Joseph Brot and just had to try their selection of organic and locally grown breads. We tried croissants, pan au chocolat, apfel strudel, , a ham, pickle and horseradish sandwich and sweet potato hummus sandwich. Everything was tasty, and filling. Croissants were a bit on the heavy side, and I prefer them fluffier. Everything else was top notch, and the place has soups and stews in jars, local yoghurt, all kinds of cheeses and charcuterie.

*we kept wandering if the name was connected to Josip Broz aka former president of Yugoslavia?

Absolutely loved the place. Their products are very high quality. I am a vegetarian and there were several options.

The bread is clearly made with fine art, love, and the best quality ingredients. The bread and other items are not cheap but I still keep going back because every single damn thing they bake is delicious.

Excellent local organic bread shop. Strongly recommend to enjoy some bread at this shop. I purchased some breads for gift of my family. They really impressed for the tastes.

The best bread in Vienna by far! Great selection of pastry, both sweet and savory, as well. Additionally, they work with Coffee Collective from Copenhagen to source their coffee, so you can actually get an amazing cup of coffee here, too, or take the beans to go. Finally, they also have great natural wines and other artisanal products. Truly epic place! Wish we had something like this in NYC.

Nice bakery with very friendly staff. The prices are high, but the things they make are very delicious. I tried the Tiramisu and it was very tasty. They serve their products in glass jars, which I really like. Different kind of tasty sandwiches, marmalade etc.

On the expensive side but very much worth it. Tasty sandwiches, excellent coffee and best fruit yogurts! Super friendly staff 👍
The down side is that it is takeaway only. I wish they had a sitting space.

I had what was by far the best gluten free or wheat free bread I've ever had (hands down and I've had my fair share to base this statement on) at a restaurant that buys its bread from Joseph. I asked 3 different waiters if it was really gluten free because it was SO good (they confirmed and then I had no reaction later). Amazing. Now if only I could get it in NY! Seriously, Joseph, I'd open up a location here if you wanted a partner, just let me know!

Oh wow. It really lives up to the hype. Sour dough, delicious bread. We bought a Vollkorn one and within a day it was gone because we couldn't stop eating it. Absolutely the best I've had in Vienna.

If you walk by this bakery you will smell it: they are baking their products themselves with high quality ingredients. It is not the average price but definitely worth every cent.

I had the vegan Breakfast, it's really good. The staff were exceptionally nice! And I like the vibe at the bakery store and the crowd it attracts 😊
