Nightflys American Bar

Pretty high end, very American like service. You pay for it, but it is worth it for the wonderful ambiance, service, and drinks. Have an EXTENSIVE menu (76 pages!!) To order from! Quiet place to talk, and we went on a Thursday night when there was live piano music after 9PM and it was lovely. Also had a non smoking portion separated with a door and could still hear the piano great. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or if you're looking for a nice place to take your parents.

Extensive cocktail list and extremely attentive service. With pianist and separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. Would recommend. 11€ for a cocktail, strong and tasty.

Been coming here for years, and will continue to do so. No other place in Vienna deserves the title "American bar" as much as Nightflys.

Nice bar with great cocktails. Wouldn't call it hip, more a relaxed vibe. No outside space, so more suitable for cold/rainy evenings.

Loved the visit there. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable about cocktails and would always make very good suggestions. We didn't have to scan the overwhelming menu since we would just tell them roughly what we wanted and they found the best match for us. Simple snacks like peanuts were provided free of charge. Cocktails were priced between 10 and 18 euros.

The furniture was amazing. The chairs felt like sitting down on a cloud. I honestly cannot wait to visit again.

Best American Bar in the first district.
Accomodates any cocktail wishes you might have. Really nice atmosphere. Always had a nice non-smoker area, but now that all smoking indoors is banned in Vienna the entire bar is smoke-free yet still has a distinct smell of a cigar-smoking bar and only improved as a consequence.
Great staff doing great recommendations. Regularly has live piano music playing.
Prices are relatively high but good for what you get.
Good for: People who want to have a cocktail in a pretty, cozy, darkened atmosphere in a traditional bar style with velvet chairs and wooden style elements.
Bad for: People who like a modern style of interior.

Very easygoing place with a nice atmosphere and lots of choice (the cocktail menu is 77 pages long). I had the Charlie Chaplin and then the Mary Pickford, while my partner had a Blood and Sand and then a Blue Moon. Will be back again one day.

This is possibly the best bar I've been to anywhere in the world. Any category you can imagine, I'm sure Nightfly's would score high. The atmosphere is great with calm lighting, great music, comfortable seating, a functional layout, and a cool underground location. Gerhard is the man, and the definition of a professional. He knows it all, and has a super clean, efficient process with well trained employees.
The drink menu and quality was on point too. I've only had perfect drinks there. Discovered a few new favorites too.
Wish I lived in town and could make this my regular spot.

Taste great cocktails and spirits in an absolutely unique atmosphere. Settled close to the heart of the first district lies this divine bar, whose entrance is easy to oversee, as it is just a small door leading to the underground location via a staircase, which is decorated with original souvenirs. Nightfly's American Bar does not only offer a divine whiskey selection, but also an outstanding service as the servers are very helpful at selecting a drink by sharing their vast bartender knowledge.

Amazing Bar, very classic American style, probably the best cocktails in Vienna and a very handsome Barkeeper.

A lovely, cozy atmosphere with a very large variety of drinks. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Came in because of the previous reviews and definitely don't regret it

Cozy bar with great cocktails. The bartender isincredily friendly and will not hesitate to help out if you are at a loss for what you should order. This place is ideal for small groups.

I randomly stumbled upon this place with my dad and brother. We were greeted with great service, fantastic drinks and a friendly staff. Their drink selection is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great time.
