Run to the place before the line gets really long. This is a great place for good reason. They have veal schnitzel which I tried but I feel like it can have more flavor but I still finished it. The beef and fried onions were really good. And the fried Vienna sausages are great because they have lots of great sides! The waitress we had was so nice and attentive to each and every guest despite the place being packed. We did seat with another person which we don't mind.

My wife and I enjoyed our first delicious dinner in Austria., Conveniently located near St. Stephen's Cathedral. Finding the restaurant was a breeze.

The ambiance was incredibly cozy and warm, offering a perfect European dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the interior design.

For my meal, I opted for the roast beef with fried onions and potatoes. It was undeniably one of the best roast beef dishes I've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the combination of the tender meat and the crispy onions created a delightful textural contrast.

I am an American tourist. This is a busy and famous restaurant serving Austrian food. The line was not too long when I went there and I ate by myslef so they sat me with someone I didn’t know which I guess is common in Europe but that was new for me. It was fine.

The food was excellent got the goulash and a great dessert. They had a canopy of umbrellas because it was cold and rainy while we waited to get in.

Service was good and quick. I enjoyed it and was glad I came.

The decor takes you back in time, while their food and the beer brings you back into the moment! If you’re by yourself, the food might seem a bit pricey, although their salads and Sausages and beer - cost me around 10€ ! For 2 people - it’s very ideal as you can share their sumptuous portion size for the Viennese Schintzel and the likes!

Historical place to visit with the tradition in all aspects of… from the cuisine, the waitress, the quality and recipes of the food, with the atmosphere.. best choice if you like to eat authentic Viennese Schnitzel with salad, sausage with mustard or spinach dumplings!

You need to definitely get here early. The queues are huge but it is worth the wait. We was lucky enough to get a table quite quickly with little waiting. Once we left the queues were at least an hour wait. The staff do not rush you either which is surprising as they are super busy.

The food was amazing. The beef in broth is a must. Very warming on a cold winter day. The beef was soft and flavoursome.

I recently dined at this charming restaurant , and the experience exceeded my expectations. The schnitzel dish was an absolute delight, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment for a delightful culinary experience in Vienna.

First time in Vienna on holiday and wanted to try out some local cuisine. A friend recommended this place explaining how the food was great and good priced. We tried the Beef Goulash with buttered dumplings and safe to say we really enjoyed it! It was delicious. Decent prices especially compared to other places in the area.

Great tasting and authentic Austrian food prepared and served by very efficient and friendly staff. This place is Busy and they do a great job of getting people in, and getting food and drinks in front of them in a hurry. All while not making me feel like I needed to hurry up and finish so they could clear me out.

We were hungry and decided to stop at the first place we see. Good atmosphere, cozy and authentic. Staff are really nice and efficient. The schitzel was really good. Nothing too complained about. Prices are average. We were lucky there was no queue. Defo would recommend. We left stuffed.

We stopped here for lunch after our river cruise excursion. Our guide had pointed out this place. We were not disappointed. Service was quick, and the food and beer were both quite good. It's also quite popular with the locals. I had the Viennese Schnitzel and my wife had the house schnitzel. Both were similar with good portion sizes. Both of us also thought that our side (with cool potatoes in a cream sauce, topped by basil leaves and pumkinseed oil) was excellent. I really enjoyed my dark beer. This certainly added to our enjoyment of Vienna.

This place seems to be an institution. There was a queue, but we managed to get in after a short wait.
If you want to try proper home cooked austrian food, then this is the place for you! Make sure you are hungry!
I admire the patience of the staff as there are a lot of tourists here asking what is what on the menu. On the whole I found the food very good and the presentation had no frills. The spatzel and goulash were excellent, as well as the two beers 🍻

Cozy, authentic Austrian Cafe. Very friendly staff. Schnitzel, goulash and beer were amazing! Restrooms very clean and free. They were very busy but we were served efficiently and beer arrived cold, food was hot. They had no problem with splitting the ticket of four in half.

Nice experience!
Typical austrian food, not so many dishes, but very well done. A lot of tourists are waiting in a queue, but fast served.

Interesting location and ambience. Very busy. We didn't have reservations and waited 30 minutes for a table at 5:30pm. The food came quickly and was very tasty. We had goulash, sausages and boiled beef, all excellent! The service was fine.

This place is a gem! The food and the service are excellent and it's right near the cathedral. I went there for lunch because it looked interesting but ended up returning for dinner too. Out waitress was so lovely and helpful. I definitely recommend.
