I would highly highly recommend this place and I would even come back again and again. Not only are the illusions really cool but the staff is so beyond friendly and the place and bathrooms are kept clean! Love this place.

Kudos to the amazing staff members there. I went with a pregnant family member and they were kind enough to accommodate us. The tickets were gifted to us and one of the person can not come on the given date, so they adjusted the ticket. The museum was amazing with interactive games and puzzles. You can even take home puzzles from their gift shop, which is reasonably priced.

All the exhibits were very trippy and interesting. It was a fun experience for my family outing. Definitely would come back again especially for the Head on the Platter installation!

My friends and I visited during the week (as we read it tends to be crowded during the weekend) - definitely recommend this way! We had an absolute blast because we didn't expect the visit to be so informative and fun.

The staff welcomed us warmly and explained the importance of proactive participation due to the nature of the museum. This proved out to be true as we spent around an hour and a half exploring different optical illusions and interactive exhibits. Some are well known, but it feels different to see them displayed. Our minds were really tricked on several occasions, which sparked our curiosity to figure out how and why these effects occur (for example the one with reading the color names out loud). There were also a dozen of wooden games/brain puzzles displayed around the museum, which we tried to solve - some of them more successfully then others 😅

The highlights were of course the photo stations were we could goof around and create some memories 😄 We spent a considerable amount of time creating photos in the room that distorted our sizes in hilarious ways. The infinity room was also really interesting as it created a seemingly endless space with a set of mirrors - also great for funny or creative photos! There were instances where our balance and the perception of space was challenged, for example in the rotating tunnel or the tilted room were we could finally pretend to be able to do the Micael Jackson pose! The staff was super friendly and helpful, as they gave us some advice on how to take the most creative shots! 😊

In sum, highly recommended for a day out with friends!! Its a great destination if you are curious to try and learn something new and have fun in the meantime! I am not including a lot of photos as not to spoil the experience, but make sure to take your time to explore and appreciate everything this museum has to offer, because it does offer a lot!

A way to have fun with your friends and family! Lots of illusions, some you figure out by yourself and some your brain cannot comprehend!
Friendly stuff that will take pictures of you in the illusions and will explain anything you ask them.
We had an amazing time there!

Quite small museum however enjoyed playing with smart games puzzle with my family. Joyful experienced when doing the optical illusion activities. Recommended to book a ticket online to avoid waiting of about 30mins or more time outside the building.

The Museum is really a wonderful entertainment for the whole family!
In particular I enjoyed the visual illusions and scientific background on how illusions and perception works.
Together with my son (7y) I had a lot of fun with taking photos and in the vortex tunnel.
Everyone of the staff was really helpful, friendly and kind to support us as good as possible.
We had to wait but there were people from the Museum taking care of us and also entertaining us.
This museum is definitely one of the main attractions in Vienna - even if there are many beautiful ones in the city.

Definitely suggest going during a weekday to slow down and enjoy everything. A fun place for all ages. Don't be afraid to take photos for strangers and reciprocate to make memories for everyone. Not a huge place but can spend a long time there if you don't rush.
Also don't go here on LSD.
