Loved the Marischka story...it's incredible to capture their influence on Austrian theatre and film. The receptionist was super nice.

Really excellent. The costume exhibition is very good indeed and the Mozart to Falco also interesting. A gem.

One of those hidden gems in the city. First, it has Klimt’s Nuda Veritas which is exquisite and breathtaking. Second, the puppet collection on the first floor is truly awesome. Of course, if you are a theatre geek like me, you would appreciate the another level of joy of looking at the amazing technology and construction of these puppets. The stage and set models are very nicely built and with a lot of attention to the details. Highlights of your tour though - the building itself and a must see of the Eroica Saal on the first floor. The ceiling fresco will take your breath away. They literally comes alive. If you are not a theatre person, the Eroica Saal itself is worth the visit. Staff is super friendly too!

An interesting, small museum containing a beautiful fresco and a beautiful Klimt, but what made this place great was the super friendly and helpful woman on the ticket desk.

Lovely little museum. A bit smaller than most, count 2 hours if you take it slow.

Pity that everything is written in German.

Interesting museum in the heart of vienna. Not so many visitors mingling around makes the visit more enjoyable.

Really interesting museum about theatrical topics. When I was there, there were some paintings on display, including a famous Bosch triptych.

The main special exhibit was about Jewish dancers, and it was very interesting and well curated. I also liked the exhibit about theatrical architecture.

This museum might not be hugely interesting for someone who isn't very interested in theater, but if you already have the Kunsthistorisches Museum year pass, you might as well visit, it doesn't cost anything extra.

Go for the Hieronymus Bosch work. This is a relatively small museum in Vienna, but it is worth a visit. The Hieronymus Bosch piece is amazing and this is one of the few museums in the world that has one of his tryptics. I would highly recommend stopping by this museum especially if you're tired of walking through the more crowded ones.
