Once-in-a-lifetime, amazing experience! Food presentation was thoughtful and beautiful, artistic--filled with vibrant color and texture. Flavors were presented in ways that brought out the freshness and best in each ingredient. Each course came with a card explaining the dish and some background information and introduced ingredients I loved learning about. The restaurant was cleverly designed so that each table felt private. The service was flawless. Each phase of dining and the various preferences of our party's four diners were seamless. The wait staff was observant and predictive but also pleasantly conversational. They flowed easily from English to German-speaking as they interacted with each member of our international party. They were always present when something needed to be done but never looming. One member of our party briefly excused himself just before a course arrived. The waitstaff very subtly slid a warmer under his dish and then removed it upon his return. One member of our party preferred not to order alcohol. Over the course of the dinner, the wait staff observed this (without it ever being directly discussed) and brought a unique alcohol-free dessert. From the bread trolley to the cheese trolley to the end-of-dinner Schnapps cart, I will cherish this Viennese dining experience forever.

We had a good time at the restaurant. The food was really good as expected. You must try the sausage bread! The members of staff were highly trained and clinically efficient. The only time our female server smiled was when we were getting into the taxi they had ordered for us. I really liked that you got little table cards with every meal describing what you are eating. That was really appreciated!

The food is amazing and the service is also great!

The seafood's freshness was expected, but what was surprising was the delicate preparation of the vegetables, which fully brought out their sweetness. Tried venison for the first time, and it was delicious.

An exceptional and sophisticated gastronomic experience that maintains its top quality! After my first visit to the restaurant in 2018, I was curious to see how I would experience the same restaurant after more than 5 years. The result was still outstanding! The focus on local ingredients, excellent and detailed introduction and both written and oral explanation of each dish (which makes this restaurant special), unobtrusive and excessively courteous service. A lavish selection of over 40 locally produced types of bread along with an even larger selection of cheeses from across Europe make this gastronomic rhapsody even more effective! A big bravo for the tasting experience!

Without a doubt it’s a good restaurant but not a five star one. We picked 5 course selection. The bread trolley was a delicacy in itself. The restaurant is quite reasonable in terms of the artistry, variety of ingredients, presentation and service. However the food was not what I expected with a 2 star rating from Michelin.

Everything was perfect from the moment we entered untill the moment we left. The food was prepared to perfection. The bread cart was and exquisite idea with selection of many different breads. The service was perfect the table comfortable and the atmosphere calm and elegant. 2 star Michelin totlay deserved the dinner was an amazing experience

We came for lunch as a group of 5 to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and ordered a la carte. It was my 4th time dining at this restaurant – and it never disappoints. Great service, outstanding food preparation – 100% deserving of 2 stars in Michelin.

Personally, I am not a fan of bread – but the blood sausage bread at Steirereck is out of this world. (And they sell it frozen to take home and bake it yourself, with detailed instructions on the box.)

The only questionable dish was the bouchot mussels – they were overcooked – but the sauce and side that came with them were delicious. The fish dishes (char, trout, sturgeon, carp) and the lamb were superb.

The tangerine and calamansi dessert would have been better if the citrus pieces had been served peeled. The elderflower-buttermilk ice cream wasn’t the best, but it didn’t take away from the experience.

Both myself and my co-diners are looking forward to our next visit to Steirereck.

The 7-Course menu was a wonderful experience. The cheese, bread, and wine sommeliers were outstanding and exceptionally knowledgeable about their fields. It is truly one of the best dinners I have ever had the honor of experiencing.

When returning to a much loved fine dining restaurant after several years, there’s always that nagging concern that it won’t be quite as wonderful as you remembered. On this occasion my worries were unfounded as this was perhaps even greater an experience than I had hoped for.

I’d forgotten to mention in advance my wife’s new and quite extensive list of food intolerances and the staff dealt with this without batting an eyelid. The 5-course lunch menu was amazing, we were visited by the famous Steirereck trolleys (bread and cheese), which produce a Pavlovian response from my salivary glands and the wine pairing was excellent too.

This restaurant has been top 25 in the world for several years now and it thoroughly deserves that recognition.

Fantastic and super enjoyable experience. We've ordered the 6-course menu and since you can choose different options for the courses it turns out to be a 12-couse tasting menu if you share. Very creative with great service and a little explanation card for each course. The bread and cheese carts are fenomenal!

This is the best 2 stars restaurant I have tried so far. Services was wonderful, but food was completely exceptional. Bread was great too. We loved the blood bread so much even if it was our first try.

Excellent fine dining Austrian restaurant option in Vienna. From the moment you walked in you are warmly welcomed by a friendly staff who seated us rite away. It offers a tasting menu as well as a la carte option. We selected a la carte and weren’t disappointed. Every dish is carefully prepared and presented. Great ambience and attention to every detail. Highly recommended if you want to experience a great dining experience in Vienna.

The atmosphere was very cosy. Service was warm and attentive, even though it took a while for the courses to come out. From being seated to getting our amuse bouche, it was nearly an hour. But once the food started coming, we were blown away by the flavours. The char cooked in beeswax is mind blowing. They also love their trolley service. Bread trolley, with over 20 different breads? Check. Schnapps trolley? Check. Cheese trolley? Check. Even some of the petit fours (the Vanillekipferl) was served off a trolley. The experience overall was great, the wine pairing was definitely worth the money. The exterior is also rather impressive.

Once a again a great experience at Steiereck. Just the bread and the cheese is to die for but the rest of the menu was excellent too. We even opted the Schnitzel in which was great and for the dessert we decided to go for the Mohnnudeln which were divine. Thanks to the whole team. Was a super great pre-xmas lunch at Steiereck.

My first Michelin experience and everything was perfect. Exceptional service, great presentation, and delicious food. I tried the 7 course menu which lets you select 1 of 2 options for 7 different courses. There is a €9.50 cover charge and 10% service fee on top of the price of whatever you order. During lunch you also have the option of a la carte and there is also the option of 4,5, and 6 course menu

Excellent food and service.We have chose the 6 course menu but with different options for each person so we have tried 12 different dishes.

I would like to share some of our experience rather than trying to describe to food in detail. Three things come to mind:
1. Steirereck is only going upwards. It has wonderful ambience, excellent food, perfect staff - in fact, from the moment you enter, you feel spoilt and the feeling is luxurious. It feels much more like three stars than two.
2. The food is exceptional without being pretentious. The wine pairing is on point.
3.Behold the bread trolley!! Michelin acknowledges the bread trolly and it is one of the highlights of the evening. The gentleman serving the bread is entertaining and knowledgeable while the trolley is loaded with different kinds of bread. Easy to indulge here as the bread is delicious, the choice is wide and he keeps coming around!!! It is a real treat. However, the cheese trolley is not be outdone. It is of similar high standard and is stocked with different cheeses from side tot side and top to bottom - and is again followed shortly by the bread trolley just wanting to make sure that you are fine.
In my view Steirereck is well worth making a special trip for. It was one of our highlights of the year. Grab a table if you can. It is highly recommendable.

They definitely have earned their two Michelin Stars. The most beautiful building right in the park.
