Don't buy ticket. Just go visit the garden.

Well the palace is huge and is ticked. However, the garden behind it captures its essence is what I had heard. The garden is open for all for free. It has beautiful sculptures, a lot of flora, and fountains. The sculptures are unique and perfect for time travel. The garden is extremely well kept and has flowers like tulip and lavender. One can breath the fragrance in the air. A lot of tourists stop here and so should you!
You can sit around and take a moment to absorb the beauty.
There's a small cafe there as well which too is open for all. They seemed to have a decent collection but they don't allow takeaway... They are strictly "dine-in" only. We were in a rush so couldn't sit in, but if you have time - the desserts looked good

A wonderful monument to the architectural beauty and history of Vienna. An absolute must see for any tourist that comes to this city. Whether or not you decide to enter the museum, you can take a free stroll outside in the garden of the palace and enjoy the look of the building itself, which is already a rich experience.

Really enjoyed this museum. A diverse collection of styles in a beautiful setting. The Klimt exhibit gets a lot of attention especially The Kiss, but many of his other works are just as interesting and thought provoking. Easy to explore this museum within an hour to 1.5 hours. The grounds are a nice stroll around too.

Belvedere Castle offers more than just a glimpse into historical architecture; its well-maintained grounds provide a perfect setting for a peaceful walk or an energizing morning run. During my visits, I found the expansive gardens and pathways to be exceptionally well-kept, creating an inviting environment that blends natural beauty with the grandeur of the castle.

The tranquility of the area, especially in the early hours, made my morning runs a delightful experience. The scenic views, punctuated by the meticulously landscaped gardens and the impressive backdrop of the castle, added a touch of splendor to the exercise routine.

Whether you're a jogger, a walker, or simply someone looking to enjoy a serene morning in a beautiful setting, Belvedere Castle’s grounds come highly recommended. They offer a rare blend of cultural and natural beauty, making each visit memorable.

A beautiful palace to visit. The sun was shining and the gardens were beautiful! I would recommend you book tickets in advance as it can get very busy! If you love art, there’s plenty of beautiful portraits/works of art to admire! We particularly like the character heads! The palace itself is fantastic to wander around too!!

Beautiful place surrounded by large gardens. A must visit for all art history lovers, especially if you like Klimt. It's impressive both on the inside and from the outside.

This palace I stumbled upon on my way to the train station was a hidden gem. Its stunning architecture and expansive grounds were a sight to behold. What's more, the free entry into its grounds allowed me to explore its beauty without any hassle. A delightful surprise amidst my journey to the airport.

It is a Must do In Austria!
If you love art or Klimt. You definitely will have a lot of fun when visiting here.

The palace is very big, I suggest to spend at least 2-3 hours here.

I book my ticket online. Please remember you can only go into the palace 10mins before the time you booked. For example, I booked my ticket at 11:00am. I arrived the palace at 10:30. The ticket wasn’t valid until 10:50am.

You can also buy tickets offline.

A beautiful palace with astonishing architecture and stunning gardens! The interior isn’t what you would expect as the palace was restored after being bombed in WW2. There is a beautiful ballroom made of marble on the second floor. The palace is filled with paintings from different periods and styles and can be considered more like a gallery.

I visited this sumptuous palace museum today for the first time, and likely the last. I’m glad I did. Even though I’m not generally a fan of grandiose buildings, Baroque decor, nor palaces in general, the quality of the exhibition in the Upper Palace helped make up for that. Each painting and exhibit was accompanied by good descriptive material placing it in historical context. The rooms were topically arranged and the floors were organized by era so the whole museum “made sense”. Though the building itself is immense the exhibition itself and paintings are given plenty of “room to breathe” so it’s easy to appreciate each piece of art separately. Even arriving at 9:30 AM on a weekday in May the crowds were considerable. By the time I left at 11:30 AM it was starting to get unbearably crowded. I suggest reserving for first thing in the in the morning or mid-afternoon for the best experience.

We bought our tickets online for the savings and grabbed coffee at a Greek restaurant across the street to wait. This is a nicely sized museum and we were comfortably able to see everything in the upper Belvedere ticket in a couple of hours. The Klimts are gorgeous and well displayed. Make sure to not miss the historic religious pieces that are in a climate controlled room off the lobby!

The palace is amazing on the outside even more so than the inside. It's picturesque. Phenomenal to look at. I'd recommend everyone to take a trip here. No need to book tickets before you enter but do know which area you want you visit as the staff at the front desk are super rude and not helpful. Maybe we were unlucky on the day with the staff. Theres 3 different areas you can visit, maybe just pick the Palace if you only have 2 hrs. The grounds are free to walk around so no need to pay if your only looking to walk around and get some fab pics

A wonderful experience as expected. An amazing building in stunning park. Baroque windows. Paintings clearly described in English. It is here that you can see the Kiss and other paintings by Klimt. We purchased our tickets online, which do require picking a time slot. We could stay there all day.

It was a very nice day and we enjoyed our visit at Belvedere castle. The garden is beautiful and has a lot of trees to take a rest from the sun. Amazing view and clean environment. Also baby friendly as you have enough space to walk with the stroller around. I definitely recommend the visit!

Belvedere Castle and Museum is simply enchanting. With its striking architecture, exquisite art collection, and serene gardens, it's an essential stop for anyone visiting the city. Don't miss this cultural treasure!

It's advisable to pre-order tickets for a specific time slot to bypass crowds and avoid waiting for the next available entry.

A must see place in Vienna, it is a stunning palace and a museum of fine art, especially you can see "The kiss" and the other works of Gustav Klimt, there are lots of museums in Vienna so you had better get a Vienna pass card to get in museums easily and it will be more affordable.

Some people are saying to not visit the palace and only the garden but ignore that. The palace is amazing. It even has Monets there and various other well known pieces of art. Also the building is fantastic. Be sure to book a few days in advance, buying a ticket on the day itself is near impossible since they work with timeslots that are mostly full all day!

You MUST visit the Belvedere if you are in Vienna! The Palace and the park themselves are extremely beautiful and the museum is a gem. Of course Klimt's "The Kiss" is there and it is fabulous, but there is more! Plenty of other painting by Klimnt, Monet, Caspar David Friedrich. Totally worth the price.

Stuning baroque palaces (Upper and Lower Balverde) with a large public garden in between them and the botanical garden adjacent to it. Even if you are not willing to go inside the museum, I would strongly recommend to visit only for the outside.
