Look elsewhere no more. You get the best austrian food here and believe me, I tried once and i'm hooked eversince! A restaurant that offers the best roasted beef (Zwiebelrostbraten) AND the best beef tartare is very rare but they have it! Thank you for the wonderful service and excellent dish. You'll be seeing me more often because I have to try everything from the menu :)

I loved spending time here. My tea was amazing and my strudel was very good. The atmosphere is very particular: it feels like the 60es.

During our time in ścienna that was the best choice for dessert. Fantastic Strudel, crispy, apples very tasty. Worth to note that this place is very crowded, tables are super small, however atmosphere and profesional service compensate for it.

Very authentic cafe. We came specially to try the best strudel in Vienna. And we were not disappointed at all! Warm strudel with cappuccino - best way to rest after long sightseeing in beautiful Vienna.

Best apfelstrudel I've had in Vienna! Ask for whipped cream on the side. We also had the beef goulash which was excellent. Equally important, we enjoyed the 60's cafe vibe and our fellow patrons, with whom we had great conversation. Lovely experience, can't wait to return!

Just about managed to get a table in this busy restaurant. The food and service was very good. The place is typical cafe Vienna in the best possible way.

Café Korb is a perfect little café with a simple 1960s style interior and a sweet terrace in summer. They offer good drinks and decent Viennese food. It’s a good place to enjoy a popular Viennese aperitif like Spritz con Aperol or a goulash and a real veal Schnitzel with a beer for example.
Artists, poets, and all kinds of celebrities did and do frequent the spot. The original Café Korb was the place where Sigmund Freud’s Wednesday Psychological Society met in the early 1900s.
A portrait of poet Elfriede Gerstl marks the spot near the entrance where she used to sit, and Nobel-prize winner Elfriede Jelinek used to meet her here. One wall features a Valy Export, one of the most important post-war Austrian artists.
Nowadays, this cozy little place can get quite crowded. I love it for its friendly service, but unfortunately, it only has local newspapers (I have to go elsewhere for those). The menu features good traditional Viennese food, cakes, and strudels.

If you served by a good waiter you are in heaven… if not you are p***** … I had both experiences.. but worth finding your korb heaven
