Beautiful church! The pink and green marble columns are extremely beautiful! A visit is a must if you like architecture in churches!!!

Truly a stunning place. The polychrome stone gives this place a unique colour palette and the glint of gold on so many surfaces produces a remarkably breath-taking atmosphere. Definitely one of those places that exhausts one's supply of superlatives. There were no lines or crowds when I went (weekday, off-peak season); I hope your luck is as good.

Unbelievable interior Design and decorations. Very dark unfortunately so you can't really see every detail with naked eye.

This church was absolutely breathtaking. I visited late and I was the only person there. It was so peaceful and serene. It was much better than St Stephen's Church in the city centre.

Amazing church. My mouth was open, and my eyes were looking around the whole time. We attended Easter mass, which was beautiful.

You can go inside without buying any ticket. You'll find some unique architechture. It's a bit far from the center but you can go there easily by foot from St. Stephens cathedral

This is one of those examples that proves how tourists are cancer to places they visit, especially the overcrowded ones like Vienna and Prague etc Why? Because this Church was empty on a Sunday for 20 minutes while I visited!! It's three minutes from St Stephens Place and no one cares about it while, of course, other sites are so full of tourists you can barely throw a needle in there

This is a stunning piece of art with a lavish interior, Baroque decorations, paintings etc

The Church of the Jesuits is a Baroque gem and one of my very favourite churches to visit in Vienna. Situated on the backstreet Dr.-Ignaz-Seipel-Platz, this is a wonderful place to include in your sightseeing plan if you are a fan of architecture, art and historic churches.

The church facade is fashioned in Baroque but is somewhat simple compared to the interior which has a way of enamouring those who enter. Designed by Italian Baroque master Andrea Pozzo in the early 18th century, there is much to catch the eye's attention as you scan the colourful and heavily gilded marble columns of the main hall, Spend some time to enjoy the intricate altar, the ornate pulput and side chapel bays of the main hall.

A major highlight of the Jesuit Church is the ceiling fresco which includes a two-dimensional illusionary dome painting by Pozzo. This is a fine example of painting optical illusions for which he was known for. If you step into the side bays on either side of the hall, notice the small ceiling holes, each accompanied with a unique optical illusion scene to complement Pozzo's ceiling masterpiece.

Give the Church of the Jesuits 10-15 minutes to view and enjoy and then continue onward with other intended sightseeing. If you enjoy Baroque churches, there are other fine examples within the historic city centre, including the nearby Dominican Church, The Franciscan Church, St. Peter's and St. Charles churches.

When in Vienna, take a moment to admire this beautiful church and its craftsmanship. The marble pillars are stunning and there is such an essence of calmness when you enter the building.

What you see outside is nothing compared to the astonishment and the amazement you feel as soon as you enter the church. I was surprised by the huge organ and the massive marble culumns. Moreover, everything was gold-plated and very bright.
It is defitely worth a visit.

You will not see the masses our tourists that you see in the stefansdom. Quiet and impressive church. I personally do not really like baroque, but this church is so over the top with its decorations that somehow it actually works. I can highly recommend a visit.

Quiet church to be contemplative. Roccoco style, very ornate and elaborate decorations and side chapels. Sat between the Institute of Science and a university building.

Our tour guide took us here during a biking tour and it is STUNNING. The outside is rather nondescript but the inside of this church is truly amazing. We came in the early afternoon on a Tuesday in early September and we were the only ones there.

The architecture, ceiling murals and organ make it worth a trip!

Of all the churches I visited in Vienna, this one I remember the most. The paintings on the ceiling are outstanding and give a great perception of height. Really worth a visit.

Very beautiful church and exceptional Missa di Gloria by the church choir and orchestra during the Sunday office last week.

I have never in my life seen such a beautiful church. We were all left in awe and could only sit quietly and admire all the sites. It is just unbelieveable that anyone could build up so high and the most beautiful pillars and confessionals. Totally loved it
