The fountain is really lovely, and when I went there in the morning, a rainbow appeared. If you're up for a morning visit, you might get to see this pretty fountain and the magical rainbow too.

The Red Army Heroes Monument
on Vienna's Schwarzenbergplatz was erected in 1945 to commemorate around 17,000 Red Army soldiers who died in the Battle of Vienna towards the end of the Second World War

Soviet War Memorial is a nice place to visit in Vienna. I have personally visited twice this place, once before winter and once in Spring and from my experience it was better during spring because it was more beautiful with flowers in the beautiful garden 🏡

This is a statue of the Soviet army in honor to the soldiers who were killed in action in Austria during WW2.

The structure is interesting and the location is quite nice. The fountains makes it more beautiful.

If you're around, definitely pay a visit to this location.

A beautiful structure with white marble columns marks a significant historical event. Currently, the ambiance is complemented by blooming tulips, and in the evening the fountain is illuminated with lights that change colours.

A really impressive monument dedicated to the Russian fighters who fought to free all of Europe. I loved it and.hope that it won't be affected by the current moods in the world. The past is in the past.

It's a beautiful sight to see both during the day and night. At night is the most wonderful in my opinion because of the lightshow in the fountain, and during summer it is not as hot if you go there in the evening early night as there is a refreshing breeze. Do not drink the water in the fountain as it is not meant to be drunk.

Very nice monument with a lot of history behind it. The fountain infront is spectacular and if you are tired and lay down on one of the benches nearby then you would feel so relaxed as someone has switched on an air conditioner and it will take few seconds for you to go in deep sleep. I was so tired of exploring when I reached there and had a lovely one hour nap.

Both the monument and the fountain are quite beautiful. Take a moment to admire this place and take some nice pictures, especially after sunset when the fountain is illuminated with colors. It is a mesmerising spectacle to see.

A remarkable monument to the Soviet soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in Vienna. Nothing could do justice to the memory of the millions of soldiers who gave their lives from the Baltics, Caucuses, Eastern Europe, Siberia, the Steppe and the far East but this impressive monument gives them a deserved tribute.

An impressive monument dedicated to the Red Army lives lost during the battle for Vienna. The scale is grand and there's also a water fountain that, unfortunately, isn't working during the cold months of the year.

The Soviet Army Soldiers Memorial is an important historical monument in Vienna. It commemorates the approximately 17,000 soldiers of the Red Army who fell in battle to liberate Vienna during World War II.

The monument was built in 1945 and is located on Schwarzenbergplatz in the center of Vienna. It consists of a 20-meter-high pedestal on which a 12-meter-high bronze figure of a Red Army soldier with a flag stands. A semicircular, eight-meter-high balustrade shows two fighting soldiers at each end.

The monument is an imposing structure that honors the sacrifice of the Soviet soldiers. It is a place of remembrance and reflection on the liberation of Austria from Nazism.

I visited the monument during a visit to Vienna and was very impressed. It is an important monument that reflects the history of Austria and Europe.

One of my favourite places in Vienna. A really big and pretty monument. There is a big fountain in the centre and it changes colours at night. In days when its hot this fountain brings you refreshment that you need...really cool place to visit

Thank you Austrian authorities for keeping this monument in a good shape. It's important to remember how much Soviet Soldiers did during the WWII.

P.S.: For those who write "Shame" in reviews: this is a monument in honor to Soviet Soldiers, not Soviet regime. Pay some respect!

This monument stands in tribute to the over 17 thousand Soviet soldiers who died in the liberation of Vienna in the latter stages of the Second World War.

The design of the monument is fairly typical of Soviet War memorials, post World War Two. The monument consists of a central column topped with a sculpture of a Soviet soldier with a semi-circular colonnade behind the column. The Soviet soldier is depicted also in fairly typical fashion, armed with a machine gun, holding a Soviet flag. Distinctive feature is the golden helmet and a round golden shield.

The monument stands in a prominent location near Palais Schwarzenberg. A little way from the main tourist district, but worth the effort if you have time
