Onyx Restaurant

Definitely book a reservation for the Onyx bar, especially in the evenings or weekends. I visited on a busy Sunday evening without a reservation and was fortunate that because I came on my own I was able to be seated at the bar. The servers were very kind and allowed me to move to a table closer to the window after the restaurant became less busy.

I ordered a "passionfruit martini" (my review gets removed if I use the correct name...) which was excellent and cost €13 which in my opinion was reasonable for a place like this. I can't comment on the food as I didn't order any.

You must use the free cloakroom and wait to be seated. I would also recommend dressing up slightly; at least smart-casual. During my visit a couple walked straight into the restaurant, wearing their coats and jeans. They were politely turned away as they didn't have a reservation, but neither did I.

I thought the staff were very helpful, although if I visited again I would definitely book for a quieter time during the day for a better view.

We had a lovely evening. The food was really good and the service really friendly. The view out the windows was beautifull and almost overwhelming. Even though our reservation mentioned an end time of 21h we only left at 22h30.

I was skeptical of this place at first since the location was so good if the food would be subpar but it was absolutely amazing. Every dish we got was excellent.

The view was amazing!! The salad was excellent too! And the sushi had good quality products

You have to stop in here for the view, even if it’s just for a drink! We stopped in at 12:30 on a Tuesday when nobody was here to get a window seat overlooking the St. Stephen’s cathedral and it was absolutely stunning. Not to mention the cocktails were surprisingly great!!

Food is a story that you will tell yourself, but try as many courses as possible, the experience cannot be described, you have to try it.

This place is perfect in any aspect.
The location and the view from its windows (direct view of the cathedral).
The food, especially the fish dishes, which were unique and very tasty.
The service was pleasant and very attentive.
One of the best in Vienna. No doubts.

We had the best sushi I had in ages! Combined with nice wines and cocktails, the ideal recipe for a lovely night out. Oh and did I mention the friendly staf in the restaurant?

Nice asian restaurant at the top of a hotel, with a perfect view to Stephans Dom. Very kind and helpful staff, they even help to find the best location for taking great photos.

Had a lovely dinner here and then enjoyed some cathedral views. On the pricey side and portions are not very big, but the food is top notch. Chocolate Surprise is a must try.

Some incredibly good sashimi. And of course the view is incredible. Price is appropriate for the venue.

The food and service was amazing. Hector and Lewis were super attentive and the views are absolutely superb. They have the best Espresso Martinis I've had in long time and the Black Cod is the best in Vienna. I can't wait to go back

The best restaurant I have ever visited. The cuisine is stunning and the people from the staff are so pleasant. There is so cosy inside and the view from the window is really impressive. We are so grateful to Onyx team for the great service and an unforgettable evening they made for us. I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant, it’s worth trying.

I love this restaurant!! The food is fabulous, the view is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is chic, modern, and lively. Great service too! It’s a must do every time we’re in Vienna - highly recommend!
