Nice museum experience. Not very crowded. A free wardrobe and nice staff. Ticket price reasonable and includes audio guide. If you love furniture and it's history, it is a must. I do warn you that it was extremely cold in the museum, so maybe leave your coat on.

December 25th, I had this huge museum for myself, as there were no other visitors.
This Museum is very much overlooked in comparison to Schönbrunn, or the Sisi Apartments in the Hofburg.
The building is not a castle and very much hidden in a sidestreet, but it is partly historical as well and the added on modern part makes a very well done overall building.
Original furniture of all epochs and different Emperors presented in fully furnished rooms, make you jump the time from room to room like a time traveller.
Much of Sisis original furniture, including the ones used in the famous movies , lets you get a feeling for her many different dwellings.
There is furniture from her castle in Hungary, Miramar, and so much more.
The old toilet collection is funny,
or Emperors Maximilian's Transport coffin!

Highly recommended museum with a vast selection of vintage to modern furniture. Consider purchasing the €44 Sisi ticket, which allows you to visit both Schönbrunn Palace and the Sisi Museum. It's well worth the price."

Lots of furtniture, who could expect that here? :) But also other things like clocks, crowns or old toilets. Not many people, this museum seems not such popular. Maybe because it looks like: „Let’s take all those things that really don’t fit anywhere else, pile them up and see what happens!” But still, worth an hour or two if you got time to kill in Vienna. :)

1 of 3 museums of Sisi ticket, which is not as famous as other 2 but definitely worth to visit. There are many varieties of collections. Also many of them are related to Sisi. Recommend that spare at least 1-2 hours for listening all stories on free audio guide.

This museum is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend buying the pass for €44 which gives you access to the Schronbrunn Palace and this museum, and the Sisi Museum.

This is the hidden gem of city. I accidentally got there because of Sissi ticket for Hofburg palace. And it was worth visiting. There is a lot of historic furniture here used by emperors and their family. Rooms are recreated with knowledge and love. You can feel how they lived and what they used there.
Also, there was no people there at all! We were alone here. So, I can recommend to visit the museum even instead of palaces, because of the great things here and nice experience.

Amazing collection. Although they advise to leave jacket, would suggest wearing as it got cold during our visit. It requires 2-3 hours to cover completely. Each furniture tells a beautiful story. We had no wait time. Highly recommend to include in the visit.

Excellent furniture museum. Highly enjoyable for woodworkers. Tools are shown. Was the former storage facility for the Hapsburg family.

A small museum dedicated to the imperial and to the ninteenth century furniture design and house decoration. Certainly merit a few hours of your time. The exposition of the bathroom utilities are especially entrataining.

A large collection of imperial furnitures with detailed audio guides. Would recommend 1.5h-2h for this museum if you want to go through all the collections in details. The most interesting part is that you can actually sit on different antique chairs and try to feel the difference:)

This is a terrific museum. It’s a bit tucked away but it’s really pretty massive and fascinating. Excellent collection that runs from the Habsburgs to the contemporary. It’s not crowded at all but is really comprehensive. Absolutely going back!

Beautiful museum with all kinds of furniture, objects and what have you, from the palaces and emperor. Biggest collection of old furniture in the world. Also they have a special of sissy, the emperor's wife. Movie related stuff and pieces they used in the film.
Also an extra exhibition of the things happened during war time and how furniture played a role in it. All sorts of requisites and stories. Really worth to see it. Buy i a 3 in 1 ticket at the sissy palace to visit schonbrunn, sissy and the furniture depot.

Included in Sisi-ticket (insider tip to buy it there, because no waiting like in Hofburg or Schönbrunn), we saw more things than we expected. Interesting with free audio guide. Relaxed, not so crowded.

A wonderful museum with a lot of wonderful furniture.

They have some amazinghistoric furniture that's incredible!

I'm usually not a big fan of museums but I loved this one. It could be strange to visit a "furniture Museum" but you'll miss something if you don't visit it !

Very interesting furniture museum, u can see many old royal furnitures and sissi dresses and belongings. Also there is a section with furnitures , which u could see in the old black & white films about sissi. You could need apprx 1 hour to see all the place.
