Mostly new and mostly electronic, rock and jazz records. There are few boxes for second, but huge collection of new ones. I always try to get some local releases so have found fortunea record with aswesome deep house vinyls (worth to chec). The shop is well organized and staff was happy to help. Nice experience!

I was looking for some Tangerine Dream, but at the time they only had three of their live albums, which left me a bit disappointed so I asked the owner if they’re getting the band’s studio records any time soon. The owner then spent 10 min going through the stock just to find me the only remaining Tangerine Dream studio album. And yes, it was also very cheap :)

The used record section is so big it can be made into a separate store.

I’ve been to hundreds of record stores all over the world and this is One..if not the best record store I’ve ever been too. They carry tons of electronic music and almost all its sub genres as well. Can’t wait to take another trip to Vienna just to go back to Substance.

Great record store. I wen there early in the morning and I was the only customer, so I had plenty of time to browse through the records. I ended up buying a Habibi Funk record and a lot of 45 records, including Jack White, The Raconteurs and Roy Orbison.

It's a cool place where you can find vinyls ranging from second hand classic rock to brand new minimal techno rarities. If you like appreciate music - and side streets over high street - don't miss it.

My favourite record shop in Vienna for any new stuff. Not only Vinyl, also CDs, MCs, DVDs, books and also the record store day offers. More alternative, than mainstream, also a nice collection of Electronica, Hip Hop, Jazz & Soul/Funk they have to offer. If I look for an obscure Sampler CD to any topic, this is the first place, where I go for it in Vienna. Also Flyer about concerts and events you can find there, Aldo some second hand offers too.

A seriously good record shop. Probably the max I'd spend for each release. But oh my goodness what a selection. Including one that's been in my discogs wishlist for ages and never come up. I spent rather a lot of money there, and don't regret it one bit!
