SHU Spicy Sichuan Food

Friends stated it is one of the best SiChuan hotpot restaurants in Vienna.
Highly recommended for their dessert called Bing Fen (冰粉）。

100% recommend, very authentic Sichuanese food! Service was great and the place is very tastefully decorated, perfect to relax after wandering around Vienna ☺ Consider booking a table in advance as the restaurant was completely full when we arrived at 7:30.

Enjoy very much the all-you-can-eat style hot pot after long walk around the city! It’s very satisfying! The medium hot soup base will be too spicy for those who don’t eat spicy often.

Great and authentic Chinese food. Very nice spice - tasty but not too intense. Also good selection/ menu. Hot pot is popular, but other foods (wan tan, dumplings, cucumber salad) are also great.

The staff is helpful and will assist you if you don't know the dishes. And they are definitely not standard in Europe. We had the recommended beef starter and I felt reminded of food I had in Beijing. Main dishes were also really good. Will definitely go again!

Had some hot pot here while visiting Vienna - best hot pot we have ever had. Service was very good and friendly. It was cheap for the amount of food and quality! Can absolutely recommend this place for authentic hot pot!

Definitely one of my favourite Chinese cuisine in Vienna. The best one. For spicy seeker is best to try here. Food absolutely good. Price reasonable and the portion is great. Staff also friendly. The place not big, better reserved before if you come with a group. What I recommend the most are chilli chicken, pork dumpling in chili oil, eggplant with mince pork, and noodle with mince beef. Everytime I came I always order all of that. For sure will go back again and again.

Stumbled across this restaurant with a couple of friends during our careful search for a fine Asian cuisine in Vienna.
Upon our arrival to the place we noticed that it was packed, with a lot of asians. It was that moment when we knew this is it!
And let me tell you what, the food was absolutely delicious.
The Chinese dumplings were soaked in what appeared to me as one of the most magical sauces I have ever tried. Sweet and sour, fresh and not too salty. Can still taste it now. As the main course I got Mapo Tofu which was the perfect end to the delightful experience.
Also, they didn’t just add spicy in their name for no reason, it’s proper spicy here! Definitely burns twice.

Authentic Chinese hot pot near Karlsplatz. All you can eat hot pot, and also excellent mapo tofu! The ma la numbing spice was legit. A must try if you are craving good Chinese food in Vienna. Would go again!

Their hotpot is quite authentic and certainly perfect for people who have large appetites. Service was nice and efficient. Would definitely come again

One of our favorite chinese restaurants in Vienna! We tried a lot of their dishes on a few outings, and our favorite are 冒菜 (a stew-like dish), 豆花牛柳 (beancurd beef stew)， 口水鸡 (Steamed chicken with chili sauce) . Most of the dishes are very well done, not extreme, but still having that nice blend of spicy, hot and numb. The pictures we have here are other dishes we tried which are very good!

Definitely this is not really spicy authentic sichuan cuisines for me. Taste is different to Sichuan cuisines in China but Sichuan herbs aroma is still good, just lacking of spiciness and numb taste.

I have been there many times. As a Sichuan native, I can say they have Very good Sichuan food!!!!

Wonderful, authentic Sichuan cuisine. A beautifully designed restaurant with truly nice owners. If you're into authentic Chinese cuisine this place is a must!

Amazing Chinese restaurant. All the dishes were extremely well balanced in terms of spiciness and flavor. Great play on textures with the twice cooked pork. The mapo tofu was not too spicy and had the perfect hint of numbness we expect. The wontons were plump floating in a chili oil based sauce that coated them perfectly. The yuxiang eggplant was very tender and binded well with the sauce.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Some of the best Sichuan food I have had outside of China. Very well done!
