Wonderful historic cinema. I loved seeing The Third Man here. Afterwards, it was fun to visit some of the filming locations, including the sewers on a tour. I also watched the 70th-anniversary screening of Seven Samurai, which was fantastic.

A great classic cinema in Vienna. Showing new quality flicks and old classics like The Third man. The kiosk has popcorn, coffee, beer and gin & tonic. Recommend!

One of the oldest Cinemas still working. 3 screens with all the movies being showed in Original Version. Cute little bar for snacks and drinks.

My go-to-cinema in Vienna for original English screenings for the last 10 years. I really appreciate the selection of film they are playing and the atmosphere in the big hall is the best you can get in Vienna in my opinion. Real cozy and simply wonderful. Furthermore, the investments in air conditioning, new seats and new projectors over the years helped to keep the experience great. Thanks and to another 10 years!

We love it, fpr the english version/origibal movies , but if you are looking for a bigger experience, like DUNE, don' t go here, cause the screen is really small. Enjooy!!

My favorite, coziest cinema in Vienna! I regularly go there to watch movies with English subtitles.

Lovely and cozy cinema that makes you feel even more comfortable than your living room (screen is wider, sound is better and chairs are super comfortable). All the staff are very nice and friendly. Perfect for the Viennese windy evenings.

The Third Man is a must! Make sure to be on time, as there are no commercials before it starts. Don't take popcorn – I did and immediately regretted it, as it doesn't seem to go well with the classic film. And if you're picking seats in the studio, the left side is fine. As there are no stairs on the right side (keep this in mind by the way), the seating is not facing the center of the screen, and instead is shifted right a little

Amazing experience and I got to complete something on my bucket list - viewing one of my favorite movies of all time (The Third Man) in an absolutely beautiful vintage theatre. On Christmas! I couldn't be happier. We followed up the viewing by heading over to the Prater to ride the giant Ferris wheel shown in the film. 10/10 would recommend and do again.

One of my favourite cinemas in Vienna! A lot of charm, very good choice of movies in English, and great location for dinner before. Staff is also welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful to see the Third Man in Vienna! A great experience and nice to mix up our activities with an easy / convenient activity after days of museums….
Awesome views of mid 40s /post war Vienna, contrasting w today’s wealthy city.

Had to upgrade the rating. Felt a little bit old and dusty but has become my favorite cinema by far.
No 3D mandatory nonsense or similar stuff, just an old cinema kept in good shape. Atmosphere in the big cinema Hall is one of a kind in Vienna and really relaxing. I would advice to get tickets for the balcony.

super cute cinema, absolutely affordable (at least the movie that we watched, €10 per ticket) and sooo cozy! it’s like being transported to another time as it looks like in the 70ies // 80ies :) also the snacks sold are not as expensive as in other cinemas :)

My husband and I saw the director's cut of The Third Man at Burg Kino in Vienna. What a treat! The seats are very comfortable with great sight lines. The print was perfectly remastered and seeing the director's cut was like seeing the film for the first time. I must have seen only the American version edited by David O. Selznick which made no sense.

Thank goodness this small cinema is still here after all these years. New films are played here, and in english, and some cult ones on offer...currently playing, "The Third Man" amongst others. There's a small snack bar inside, and quite a few steep steps to negotiate inside so be prepared. In Austria you pay for the row you sit on...the further back the more expensive. But don't even think about cheating once you have your ticket and are seated...these walls have eyes! 😁

A wonderful single screen cinema showing all the latest films with really comfortable seats. Cash only for the snacks. The cinema is a great old fashioned two tiered layout so just adds something to every viewing
