Luna's House Hostel

Fantastic value for money! The rooms are spacious, with lockers and each bed has curtains, a plug socket, reading lamp, and a fan. The hostel organises lots of tours/activities/buses/etc that you can book from reception.

Free breakfast is great! Choose from Bahn Mi, banana/mango sticky rice, banana/mango/pineapple pancakes, or fruit salad and help yourself to juice, tea, and coffee 🥞☕

And the best part is the staff, so so friendly and accommodating! The hostel is kept really clean, and the restaurant downstairs 'Yummy 1' is incredible! ⭐

Amazing hostel, especially for this price. We had a private room (2p) and got a room with a very comfy large bed and an extra single bed. The bathroom is fine as well. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful, and we could rent a motorbike here for only a few euros a day. Restaurant is surprisingly good and cheap. Location is great as well. Would recommend.

Really nice hostel. Receptionist helped me change my bus times so I could do a hike. Also booked me a taxi. Very friendly service. For breakfast you have a lot of choice!

We stayed sadly only one night at Luna's hostel but we enjoyed our time there. It was clean, cosy and we felt welcomed. The food was delicious, especially the very good breakfast. We can only recommand this nice hostel and would be happy to come back one day!!!

The hotel/hostel is in a great location. The staff is amazing and works very hard for their clients. Cannot say enough good things about these people or the hostel they run.

Stayed here for 4 nights. It was comfortable and clean. The owner made everything so easy! The laundry service was great, the Ha Long Bay tour was fun, and scheduling busses and rental motorbikes was so easy. I would come back again.

We stayed at this hostel for 5 nights, 2 in rooms and 3 in dormitories. It's very clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. We often ate at the restaurant, which offers a wide choice at good prices, and the food was very good. The place is quiet, well-located, and there's a well-appointed rooftop where you can relax.

Nice dormitory beds at reasonable price in a clean room with comfortable accessories in the attached bath room.Tasty food at the ground floor restaurant and location is good at the small central area near to the pier.The generous breakfast is perfect and one day tour booking is cheaper in comparison with others.

So shocked by how great this hostel was. Staff are so kind, welcoming and informative. Beds are very comfortable which is rare in Vietnam. Cheap price and free breakfast. Also a very friendly hostel, you meet very nice traveler’s. Would 100% come again. Stayed for 2 nights and it was great. Pictures don’t do it enough justice, the location is perfect. Bathroom image was taken at the end of my stay, we are a full room so the condition was a lot better before we came. Wish i took photos of the before but I didn’t, the images online of the rooms are very true to reality however.

Location is really good and staff is very helpfull, also free water. The free breakfast was also nice. In general, the food from the attached restaurant is awesome and big portions. Easy and flawless scooter rental.

Clean rooms & a nice atmosphere. Friendly & helpful staff, Harvey in the reception is the best! We also found here a great boa tour with CAT BA GREEN TRAIL TRAVEL. We had and amazing day, although the weather was not the best. Kong, our guide, was very kind, very helpful and gave us a lot of information beyond pointing the stunning views. With a fair price, you have a great guide, a nice tour for ha long and lan ha bay, kayak and a delicious lunch included.

We just went to the restaurant and the food + juices were absolutely amazing! The meal portions were very plentyful. We will come back in the next days for sure!

Lovely stay! Cozy rooms, friendly staff, great food. The staff hosted a birthday dinner for one of the guests staying and invited all of us to join. Everything at Yummy 1 was delicious and we can't wait to come back.

Stayed there for three nights and loved it. Very low prices, good location and cheap laundry service. The staff was always very nice and caring and we enjoyed staying there!

Probably the best chill hostel experience I've had. I wholeheartedly recommend it! The bunk beds were super big, they could probably sleep 2 people. The room was clean and it was mostly quiet (Vietnam can get pretty loud from all the honking). The staff is exceptional and can get for you everything (legal) you need. The trip around the bay they book for you is probably best bang for the buck. The food at the restaurant downstairs is great! We mostly ate there because it was so cheap and so good compared to the other Cat Ba places! (you have to try the grilled oysters with peanuts and onions... we ate 3 portions :)) ). Overall I think it's one of the best places we've stayed at, especially in Vietnam.

Didn’t stay at the hostel but the restaurant next door called Yummy Restaurant was so good, we had the seafood and meat mixed platter and couldn’t believe how much food came with it! Really really good unfortunately can’t see the restaurant on Google Maps. The lady was so kind showing us how to use to hot pot and when to put different seafood into the hot pot / how long to cook for as it was our first time!

Really nice hostel. The breakfast is very good, stuff personal is really friendly, clean, you have curtains on your bad and they organise you nice travel’s. I would recommend the boat tour if the weather is good.
Critics: a thicker blanket would be nice and the “roof top bar” has a higher potential

We took a private room. It was clean and spacious. For the price, this hostel offers a great experience. The receptionist is super nice, friendly and helpful. He speaks very good English and helped us out for so many things (excursion, rabies vaccine, bus to next destination, etc). Highly recommended. We forgot to say bye at the end, so bye and thanks!!! :)
