Lan Ha Bay

Highly recommended for 1 night stay on cruise. Quite even though there are lots of other cruise ships parked nearby.

Beautiful beautiful bay. Must visit if you are travelling Vietnam. I highly recommend doing a 2 night cruise and kayaking.

Lan Ha Bay is made up of around 300 karst islands and limestone sea rocks and can be found southeast of Cat Ba Island. As a geological extension of Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay is equally as beautiful although it is less visited, less inhabited and therefore has the extra appeal of being a more peaceful place.

Water was pretty filthy, loads of rubbish, which was a real shame. Stunning scenery though, just don't look to close at the polystyrene in the water. Orchid cruises were amazing

A must visit place if you are visiting Vietnam. Cruise journey will be an unforgettable experience. But the bay is always crowded with cruises. The view of limestone mountains will mesmerize you. Islands and caves in the bay are also beautiful.

Incredible experience we stayed on the Peony cruise which was outstanding can not fault it.

Lan ha bay was one of the highlights in our Vietnam trip. This is a less famous and less crowded version of Halong bay but was beautiful. We did this trip with Cat Ba express and it was well organised.
We went in Mid December and it was very cold (around 10 degrees but feels like 5 due to the winds). So if you’re travelling around the same time, ensure to carry layers.
