Cat Ba Rustic Homestay

I can't say enough about the lovely stay my partner and I had at Rustic Homestay. Surrounded by farms with water buffalo, beautiful scenery, and the perfect distance away from the city centre. Despite the chilly weather, Linh and her family made us feel warm and welcome. They provide laundry service, scooter rental, and have a full menu. Also there's a beautiful dog named Bingo.

Rustic homestay has been a genuinely beautiful experience along my travels. Linh and her family have been most welcoming and my stay here has been the highlight of staying on Cat Ba. If you are chasing an at-home feel with a warm family, you will certainly find it here. Beautiful community and lovely food. Couldn't recommend enough!

Linh and her family are great hosts, and they have a puppy! There is some road noise of course but not too bad for the peaceful experience and convenience, they have plenty of scooters for hire. Loved staying with you, thanks :)

We stayed at Cat ba rustic homestay for 3 nights, and Linh and her family are very welcoming and friendly. Linh is amazing and very helpful with organising tours and great with information.
We had 9 in our party and they could not have been more accommodating for us. We were lucky enough to go and pick fresh lychees from their fruit trees!!.. Recommend staying here. food and drinks were great, and the pups are very cute, too...

Best Homestay I've been to in Vietnam.
Linh is super friendly, helps with and organizes everything, speaks great English and is on top very funny.
Food is very good and there are puppies, what else can you want?

We had the best stay with Linh and her family. They were so helpful to us during our stay and we had the best night sharing yummy snacks and happy water around the campfire. If you rent a motorbike it is so easy to get into town. Tip: order the banana pancake for breakfast, so good.

We had a perfect stay at the Rustic Homestay, Linh and her whole family were very welcoming and we felt like we were part of the family.

Perfect location to visit the island, not too loud because it isn't located in Cat Ba city but easy to go round because of the motorbikes you can rent at the homestay.

All the food was homemade and delicious too!

My new Vietnamese family. The house is very well-kept and the most beautiful in the village. Here you will find peace, but you will not be bored. We got a good night's sleep like nowhere else in Vietnam, we met other wonderful travelers from all over the world. This is a place where you learn about Vietnam and exchange experiences. We spent the whole night eating and drinking 😉 It's sorry to leave, but we hope to come back soon 🥰

Really enjoyed my stay here with Linh and her family. She introduced us to her parents and her young kids and we got loads of advice on the best things to see in Cat ba. Plus Linh knows a bunch of the boat tour operators so can help you check availability.
The accomodation is about 15 mins drive from the town centre so you'll need to get a taxi or something if you want to go out drinking in the central bars. However Linh offers bike rental, her mum cooks delicious food and you can buy drinks at the homestay. On the plus side you are closer to the national park and caves.
Bedrooms were great with a fridge and AC, plus a private bathroom that doubled as a wetroom for showers.
Would definately stay here again, thanks Linh!

Linh and the family who runs the homestay are very hospitable and friendly. They were very helpful in setting up the barbeque grill down the beach area. They also were very helpful with assisting us in all we need to stay comfortable. Thank you Rustic homestay. 😊

We had a wonderful time during these few days at the accommodation. A family business with extremely open and helpful people, we have made friends with them. I highly recommend it to everyone, you will only come home smiling from here. I would like thank them for every minute 🥰🤗😁🌟

A wonderful homestay experience. We initially planned to stay only one night but ended up extending it an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. The location is not in the city, which was great for us since we were coming right from Hanoi and wanted something quieter. We rented a motorbike from the homestay and ended up touring around the island to a couple places that Linh recommended and they were awesome! She and her family also cooked an amazing dinner for us one of the nights we were there. We had a lovely chat with Linh both nights we stayed there and she said her father built the rooms! A great experience overall and one I would recommend to anyone.

What a great experience! Linh and her family made me feel so at home. Her father and I practiced teaching each other Vietnamese and English and her mother made some of the best Vietnamese and western food I have had in Cat Bà. I was even invited to go fishing with them to have a big family dinner!

The location is great, on a quiet part of the island but a 2minute walk to the beach. All the rooms are immaculate and everything is new. All the food is very reasonably priced and delicious. If I am ever in Cat Bà again I know I will stay with them again.

This homestay is just perfect. We spent three amaizing days here. Linh and her family are extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms are all nice and clean, so are the showers and toilets. Linh’s mum is an incredible cook and showed us some very good vietnamese dishes. The common area is also wonderful with space to chill out. Also, moto’s renting is available here, and very cheap. The location is great too, it has a beach just next to the homestay, which includes a nice beach bar (however no need considering the house’s terrace). We met a lot of very nice people just hanging out in the terrace. And we were able to relax and enjoy the island thanks to their recommendations and caring. Thank you Linh so much for taking so much care of us and always doing your best to making us feel confortable! We will come back.

Nice homestay with delicious breakfast and at a good price.
The puppies were cute and the owners are super nice. It is also close to rown and you can rent a scooter there :)

After a really bad experience in the hostel Woodstock Beach Camp we decided to book a few nights in Cat Ba Rustic Homestay. The homestay was just started, i Guess we were the first guests. The rooms were extraordinary and the toilets very clean and confortable. People were amazing, we had a really good care from the family. The food they offer is really good as well. I hope you guys are doing well!! Thanks a lot for your work!
