Cat Ba Vision

We had the most incredible tour with Harry Kane at the end of January/beginning of February. We got to see the most beautiful scenery, exploring secret lagoons by kayak as well as the phytoplankton at night - and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! The chef on the boat catered for meat eaters as well as AMAZING vegan and vegetarian food - literally the best we had in Vietnam! Completely recommend 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I did the 2 day 1 night La Ha/Ha Long Bay cruise a few days ago. B was my guide for the whole trip. We visited the fish conservation farm, did some kayaking and swimming and saw the bioluminescent plankton in the evening. B was great and this trip exceeded my expectations. Food was pretty good and there was plenty of choice, we also managed to stay away from the other boats except for our first kayaking session, our overnight spot was very peaceful. My room was very good and the whole trip very great value for money. The only thing I’d change would be possibly changing one of the kayaking sessions for a different activity but that said I did enjoy the kayaking. Thank you Cat Ba Vision and B!

Would recommend this tour operator. You have to send an email to book with them, they respond immediately. Pay at their office a day before.
We booked a one day Lan Ha bay tour. Kane was our guide. He did a great job. The food served was also very good. Kayaking through the caves was a great experience. They take you to a fishing village as well.
We felt like half a day tour was sufficient for the activities covered.

This tour was on time, served great food, and we went to a couple places that weren’t overcrowded. Kane was our guide…spoke good English, and a couple other languages…very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Cat Ba, and fun to hang out with!

We’re a family of 6, and we all had a great experience. Jumping off the top deck was a highlight!

We did a Boattrip with Cat Ba Vision and it was a great experience! Kane was a perfect tour guide. The kayak tour was fun, the lunch on board was delicious and the visit of a fish farm very interesting. A great day at Cat Ba!

We had a great trip with Catba Vision and our guide Kane! We first did the day tour going around Lan Ha and Halong Bay with the boat with additional kayaking through caves, some swimming (and snorkelling but we did not see that much) and visited a fish farm. The latter was actually really interesting. We were only two couples on the trip which was nice. In the afternoon, we arrived at the floating homestay. The homestay itself was okay, some improvements could be made here, but it’s fine to spend the night at. In the evening we went night kayaking with the illuminating plankton which was amazing! The next morning, another kayaking session, just us, to a beautiful beach were we could swim and enjoy the scenery. The way back to the harbour with the speedboat was very fun. During the whole time, our guide was always keen to answer all our questions and caring for well-being.

We had an excellent experience with Cat Ba Vision. We did a plankton viewing tour in the evening through them, and had a wonderful evening! Our guide, Kai, was very friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable on all of the local clam farming, plankton, and environmental matters as he studied that at university.

We highly recommend cat ba vision, as they are the only tour we have found (yet) that give you a one on one experience. They were very much about quality rather than quantity (amount of people on the tour). Therefore we enjoyed a very lovely meal and evening plankton tour just the two of us; very relaxing - particularly after a few days of hectic busy tours!

We really enjoyed the full day trip from Cat Ba. At first I was a bit hesitant to take such a long trip, but it was really well organized and the activites kept it super fun! Kayaking was very cool, our guide Harry Kane was super helpful and really making sure everyone was comfortable and looked after.
The lunch exceeded my expectations - it was a great selection of various dishes with lots of options for vegetarians (meal was mostly pescetarian). At the end the swimming activity was fun, but there was really no chance of seeing anything with the snorkelling - zero visibility, but maybe it was the weather.
All in all: great experience, eveb with the questionable weather we had - cant imagine how much better it is when its really nice and sunny :) highly reccommended!

Amazing trip with everything you would want on a tour. Kane, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He stayed with us overnight in the homestay and made sure everything was good. The plankton was very special and was like fireflies in the water, Followed by warm showers in the homestay - I would highly recommend!

Did a one day trip with Kay as the guide. Super impressed with his knowledge and ability to make his stories fit the tour.

Every single experience was above expectations, and the food was impressively diverse. Be aware that it is mostly sea food (which I loved, and fit the theme well).

A Cat Ba town company that took us out into Ha Long and Lan Ha bays. Duke was a wonderful host. Very knowledgeable, funny, welcoming.

It was a great day out on the water. Swimming, kayaking, visiting and learning about fish farms, staring at the wonderful landscape. Big, comfortable boat, great lunch. My trip cost about $50 AUD, through our hotel. Might be a different price direct, but we were very happy with the additional pickup and hotel return.

A great 2D/1N trip, action packed! Kane was an excellent host, not to be missed when visiting the area. Having done the Halong Bay trip from Halong city a few years ago, the Cat Ba Vision trip was a lot less busy. The tour was filled with many activities in lots of hidden areas.

The guides, Cuong and Kai were great, they showed us some quiet spots on the bay. We got a lot of food, with vegetarian / vegan options.

Our one day tour of Ha Long Bay was great. The tour was exactly as advertised. Our guide was professional and informative and communicated very well in English. The boat and amenities were clean and in good condition. The food was delicious and we felt the captain was experienced and very safe. I would definitely book more tours with this company.

The best tour I've had in three months travelling Asia and Kai is the best guide. He is so knowledgeable about animals, plants, even plankton! He was a lot of fun and even picks plastic out of the sea. A true superstar. The tour itself is great value for money as well. We had so many activities; kayaking, hiking, cycling, cooking class. The boss Mr Nguyen is also fantastic, he arranged all of our transport. I'd definitely recommend this tour group and I hope you get this guide.

We went on a 1 day trip to Lan Ha / Ha Long Bay with Cat Ba Vision and it was a great choice ;) most of the bay was empty, landscape was spectacular. The ship was comfortable and the food DELICIOUS (especially spring rolls and local fish). There were a lot of dishes to choose from, many vegan options as well. We had a lot of fun during the kayaking trip and our guide, Kai, was amazing. I really recommend this company if you want to see less crowded parts of the bay.

I spent the night at the floating fish farm,now turn in a homestay. The food there is fabulous!

On the second day I went hiking with my guide to Navy Peak and it was stunning (a tough hike, but 100% worth it!)

Kai is the best! He gave us awesome and unique information about the area and Vietnamese culture and was quite funny :) the food was incredible and they even accommodate to vegetarian/vegan diets! 10/10 would recommend the Lan Ha bay tour

Just come back from one day cruise with Cat Ba Vision. Our trip was excellent. We spent all day in Ha long Bay, kayaking, swimming and admiring the nature. Our guide Kai told us a lot of interesting facts about the Bay and Vietnamese people. Thanks to Kai our trip will be memorable. 🫶
