Cat Ba Green Trail Travel

An amazing experience. Our guide Jack was brilliant and knowledgeable, he made us laugh throughout. The Kayaking, swimming and touring were all a lot of fun and the landscape was beautiful. Lunch was provided and delicious, some of the nicest fish I’ve eaten so far!

We did the day tour with them (book from your hotel for 500,000 dong) we did kayaking, swimming, visited a fishing village with big fish and had a wonderful lunch. It was a good tour and jack spoke great english.

If you want to expend your day visiting nice beaches, enjoying time swimming, getting nice food, meeting new people , please just do it.

We decided to stay in Cat Bat instead ha long bay just avoiding crowds of people and was the best decision.

The guide vas super nice, at the end of day he took us to the monkey island (for me is the best beach around),

You are going to visit one beautiful bay, monkey island, passing through many island and fishing village (feeding the fish)

I took two day tours - both outstanding! I highly recommend the half trekking/half boating tour. Beautiful trekking, excellent lunch, fun bike ride followed by boat tour, kayaking and swimming. Amazing!!

It was a lovely experience! They picked us in our hotel, the ferry ride was super nice and then we did kayaking with gorgeous views, lunch and stop to swim, even on a grey day was amazing!

1 day trip from Cat Ba island around ha long bay & la han bay.

Jack was a wonderful guide with very good English to get to understand everything about the bay. We had a really nice time kayaking through caves and then swimming in a beautiful little beach by ourselfs , jumping from the boat and discovering around. We also visit a tradicional fish farm that for me personally was very interesting. They also managed to take us around spots that weren’t crowded of tourist at all, basically our group and that’s it !!

If I can say something that I didn’t love maybe the food for lunch wasn’t great for the quality of food that I’ve been having in Vietnam so far, but was enough to feel full and enjoy the day.

I was expecting much more rubbish and plastics floating on the water considering that Vietnam doesn’t have that many regulations about looking after natural places like this , BUT surprisingly the situation wasn’t that bad and I even saw two local people picking up stuff around the kayak point from their little boat and also our guide at another point of the day, that makes me so happy!!

We really enjoy this day and I guess that the good weather and sunny day we had and the group of nice people we ran into really helped to enjoy the experience.

For people who complain about to be in an old boat, or pay for the drinks and those short of details, try to enjoy a little bit more! Come on you’re in Vietnam. The boat was comfortable and 100% steady with 2 bathrooms. About the drinks, you can drink as much as you want including soft drinks, water, coffee and beers and what’s the price at the end of the trip in total? 10€ if you’re going crazy and drinking the whole fridge? Be happy :)

Amazing one day tour, guide spoke perfect English and all the staff were very friendly and professional. Lunch was delicious and we had a great time kayaking, swimming and exploring the archipelagos. A++

Day trip through the bay was exactly what we were hoping for! The islands are a sight to see. We spent the day cruising through, kayaking, swimming, eating lunch, visiting a fishing village, and enjoying the golden hour. We were even lucky enough to spot the rare monkeys in the trees!

Jack, our guide for the day, was amazing and shared history / context / smiles and more! He also took pictures on our behalf throughout the day and sent them afterwards which was very kind.

Compared to other companies, this trip was way cheaper for the same experience. I definitely recommend!

Great tour, went to the kayaking, fishing village, swimming (too cold in the winter) and the lunch was fantastic!

Very good boat tour. The highlight was kayaking, so peaceful and cool to go under those cave tunnels! A lot of options for lunch, everything was super tasty even the rice cakes given as snack at the end of the trip! The guide Bin was entertaining and nice throughout the tour. It was a gray day but the water colour was still nice 😊

We are a family of 5 (2 adults + 3 children). We took the 2 days trip with 1 overnight stay on board. Our guide (Kong) was super nice and helpful - he took really good care of us and was very informative during his explanations along the cruise. The included kayaking experience was really nice, and the views were simply marvelous. The included meals on board (3 meals altogether) were very tasty and the rooms were pretty comfortable. All in all - I highly recommend choosing Cat Ba Green Trail Travel for your cruise in Lang Ha Bay.

Very helpful and kind staff. They thought along with us to find us the best option for our tour. We ended up doing the Plankton tour (Kayaking by night to see the magical plankton lighting up the water) sleeping overnight at the floating home stay (very comfortable… &great food!) + a day tour with a boat the next day.

We had a great day out with our tour guide, Jack. Collected and dropped us off at our hotel on Cat Ba. Delicious lunch with veggie options, nice area to sit on top of the boat to sun bathe. Spent an hour kayaking around some beautiful, secluded spots and then had an hour after lunch to swim/jump off boat before heading back during the sun set.

We had a great tour today, we chose the 1 day cruise around Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay. This included the bus to the harbour, lots of scenic moments on the boat tour, kayaking for an hour through caves and around coves, lunch (that catered to vegetarians) and then nearly 2 hours for free swimming/snorkelling/exploring, a visit to the fishing village, and a cup of tea and some rice crackers on the way back watching sunset. I have to make a special mention, our tour guide Jack was fantastic. So knowledgeable, and funny. He was also the perfect mix between being helpful and informative, but also gave us time to ourselves and wasn't overbearing. Brilliant!!

May not have been the cheapest place in town but was exceptional value. We took an overnight Hà Long Bay tour on a smaller sized boat with only a few cabins. It felt like our own private tour. Given it was winter the activities were aimed more towards the season with a focus on kayaking and cycling rather than swimming. We did stop for a quick dip which was a nice box ticking exercise but a little cool for me. The tour guide Kong was very knowledgeable and delivered his dad jokes well. Loved our tour and the service from the agent.

We used his Travel agent twice.
First for a one day Ha Long Bay cruise which we found to be very well organised. The lunch was good quality and the boat was in better condition than most we saw while out. The other point worth mentioning is that the boat had enough seats to accommodate everyone regardless of whether you wanted to be in the sun or the shade.
The second time was for a bus trip from Cat Ba to Tam Coc. The price was competitive, the bus was newer than most and the driver very professional.

This was our second time going to Halong Bay with Cat Ba Green Trial, 1st time with friends and this time with family.
Mr Linh was very helpful with the logistics and organizing our trip despite the multiple changes we made.

Our guide, Kong was superb and very kind. He spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable in many different topics which made the trip enjoyable, feeling like you had a friend alongside you. He was flexible in many arrangements and activities that we wanted to do and tried his best to accommodate. He always looked out for us to ensure we had the best experience and constantly looked out for our mum's making the whole trip very smooth

The food on the boat was freshly cooked and very delicious, we always had a full belly throughout the trip

The acommodation on the floating platform was not as good as last time as there was another group having a party during the night and constant power failure during the night.

Overall it was an amazing experience and would definitely visit again :)

Great tour, the guides were really helpful and friendly. It wasn’t a huge group so we had time to ask questions and because our tour ended early we even got to do an extra stop and take it easy. Highly recommend , it makes all the same stops Cat Ba Ventures does, bordering ha long bay too.

Wow! We did the tour with the guide Hong Kong (ya, that’s his name) and he was amazing! He has very good energy, and all the time he was trying to do his best in order that we’ll have the best experience ever, and it worked!
The scenery was so beautiful. We did 90 minutes kayaks and saw amazing caves in the water. Kong did the kayaks with us, took us to special places, took many pictures of us and sent us later. We also jumped to the water from the boat and had time in the water. The lunch was very nice with a lot of vegetarian options. The hiking to the monkeys island was amazing (it’s quite a bouldering but you don’t need to be specialist.
I recommend to bring with you warm clothes because part of the time it was very (!!) cold and windy on the boat (we did it on December)
I highly recommend Hong Kong as a guide! He’s assume!!
