Found this mechanic by chance after another mechanic just down the road was trying to rip me off.
This guys friendly and seems to really like backpackers.
He welded part of my frame back together, changed my oil, oiled my chain, tightened my wheel spokes and looked the bike over.
Only charged me 200k for all of this which is an exceptionally good price seeing as the previous mechanic was trying to charge me 500k just for welding the part of the frame.
Would highly recommend him! 👍

Just awesome! Tu is really nice and takes his time to fully understand your needs and makes sure both parties comprehend each other. He changed part of the transmission, a light and the exhaust port heat protecter for a fair price. You dont feel like you get rip of or anything. My motorbike engine now doesn't produce noise and is a lot more efficient while running up slopes.

The mechanic, Tu, was a legend! Fixed my engine and my mates back wheel and chain for a decent price and quick. He’s known to be the go to guy for backpackers bikes. He’ll also invite you in for a cup of tea or a smoke whilst you wait and chat about what you need fixing.

Came to this mechanic out of chance because my bike broke down outside ! Turned out to be a very good and friendly experience . The guy who runs it (tu) is a legend ! He fixed my bike there and then and even invited me in for a cup of tea 10/10 guy who does 10/10 work . Definitely one to trust if your bike breaks in cat ba!

Very helpful, fixed my headlight and changed our oil. Even invited us to drink tea with him once he’d finished the work.

Seemed like a nice guy but completely ripped us off charging 1.8million for work on two bikes consisting of new brake pads, new oil, brakes tightened, new spark plugs. We were really disappointed with this after we'd been travelling from the Ho Chi Minh City and been to many different mechanics for the same work and knew the prices. I would completely avoid this place. It's unfair to take advantage of travellers to that extent. I expect to pay more than the locals but that is ridiculous.
