Safeway

Visiting the Bay Area and as a customer of other Safeway store siblings I was excited to check this store out. Very clean, and well stocked. I was surprised by the amount of Boars Head selection of deli meats here.

I found it to be a really good grocery store for the items I needed, including salt-free chips and Chobani oat milk. Their produce section is pretty large, lots of different things, although the prices can be a little high-but that’s everywhere. Lots of variety storewide. I need to try the deli because everything looked really good. The only issue I would bring up is that sometimes the checkout line can be pretty long. This trip, the lines weren’t too bad. This last visit was great. The checkout cashier in the middle section (alcohol and other items area) was super friendly and helpful with me and at least one other customer that I saw. She tipped my review from 4 to 5 stars. This is definitely my go-to store out of all the locations.

At first I was Hesitant about ordering My daughter birthday
cake from the bakery, because I’ve have very bad experience with Safeway cake
But this strawberry short cake I ordered from the bakery today was well worth it
Very Moist and the strawberries were fresh

Clean store. Great customer service with a smile 😊😁. Best made to order sandwiches in San Leandro. Best customer service of any Safeway around Oakland. Home of the beautiful sandwich. Clean, quick, and caring customer service with a smile 😊😁.

The young man Gabrielle who works at Safeway is an angel he has saved me a couple of times. Once when I left some money at the self-check for cashback, I called him back and he said he had it and kept it for me, it was quite a bit of money. And then the second time when I left my phone there he retrieved that for me also. It's good to know that there are honest and trustworthy people when you're dealing with the business.

It is one of the better located grocery stores. Providing ready meals, gifts, and general groceries. One stop plaza with plenty of parking and a Starbucks. It can get really busy, but they do provide self cueck out. They also have a Western Union.

It's been years since I entered a Safeway. There are none in my small hometown in Texas.
It was clean and well stocked. No complaints. The people in line, we struck up a great short conversation. Everyone seemed content. Wonderful experience.

Great store very well taken care of, fully stocked up. Starbucks inside store. Handicap accessible from parking spaces to entrance. Restroom available for customers. Staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend this store.

Great workers love there sandwiches I would like to give a great review for The DELI WORKERS THERE THE BEST

Love this place of shopping. But sometimes it's hard to find a park because it's so busy down in the downtown district. But it's close to home. Get everything that we need and keep it pushing. Lots of fancy and nice places of shopping in the area. Good place to patronize a lot of businesses. We're living here since 2009 until now. Me and my husband and son we love it.

Great place to shop at night

Clean, I always see workers pulling out old and stocking new items. Everytime I go inside there are always Super friendly staff. They are always happy to help and cashiers are friendly also! BUT it does get very busy! Update: 2022, Aug. It's SUPER busy NOW, more so then last time. Services is still an A++++ in my book.

Come here about every week or so for grocery pick-up and it always goes super smoothly, and they usually have what I ask for (although COVID can make stocking an issue at times still, but that's not their fault). Appreciate being able to come here for my shopping needs.

This Safeway location has had a few upgrades since my last review. Now they have a central corral area where the medicine/first aid/toiletries are located, they have new hot/cold shelves for take-home dinners, sandwiches and salads. Safeway has a new partnership with Boards Head to provide them with charcuterie selections. Along with the Starbucks kiosk, this Safeway is only missing a Pharmacy, but this location has everything you need for dinner plans or a quick bite to eat, and the staff are very nice, as well. I recommend this place!

I frequent this Safeway. They have beautiful produce and a great deli. The employees are always pleasant and ready to help if needed. They also stay open til 1:00 am for those who get off work late. It's very convenient.

Great curb side service...

Variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers. One stop shopping. Starbucks located inside. Store is clean, spacious, displays appealing to shoppers, close to public transportation, ample parking, service oriented employees, etc.

Very clean. The shelves are fully stocked, and and I am aware during this Coronavirus situation, that is rare. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great job Safeway.

One of the busiest Safeway's in downtown San Leandro. Excellent bakery, deli, seafood department. Parking can be tricky at times.

Convenient location and plenty of parking. It was a one stop shopping trip, I'm so relieved not to have to go to another location for lime seltzer case. Thank you
