Swagat Foods

Decided to come here to grocery shop after work in February 2024. I found so many vegan things here that I ended up filling up my shopping basket too full. One of the workers offered me a shopping cart when he saw me struggling to carry my basket, and he and the manager even helped double check to make sure I was charged correctly before leaving when I forgot I picked two of the same of one of the bags of peanuts. Really nice people work here and I will definitely be back every chance I get.

I needed to go to get some items my Dr recommended, the gentleman just asked for my list and gracious filled my basket. I then did a little tour myself of the store. They seem to carry an extraordinary amount of anything from their culture you could need. I bought a few more different items to try and when checking out the owner asked if I ever have eaten Indian food. I have once and said yes but it's very spicy. He had some all ready prepared food near the counter and was explaining what they were. I told him I'd try something but please not a lot of heat. Well I bought what he suggested and was pleasantly surprised. It was extremely good. I'll definitely be going back to explore more of the ready to eat food. All their unfamiliar vegetables looked very fresh , the store itself is very clean and the people there are helpful and friendly. They are on my list of places to go back too !!

Good prices and friendly staff. I would recommend it to anyone! You'll find all the Shan masalas and so many chutney types you won't be able to choose! There's also made in-house samosas that are hard to resist. 10/10 recommend

Swagat Foods is hands down one of the best run, small but mighty Indian grocery stores that I have visited in the Midwest. The selection is vast with variety that covers quick boxed meals, spice boxes, bulk rice, dal, cooking oils, toiletries, kitchen gear, frozen foods, refrigerated foods and some fresh ones as well. Plenty of staples that covered all of my needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too. It's not every day that I drop a hundred dollars on a Friday night, but a much needed visit for my kitchen staples was fulfilled at Swagat Foods. Next time, I'll opt for a 🛒 cart instead of a basket 🧺. No need to trek across towns and drive around blocks looking for paid parking spots. Great experience overall.

Swagat is the place for Indian grocery in Southwest suburbs, staff is extremely polite and helpful. Most importantly they don’t keep expired items like some other stores. They also have fresh chapati and appetizers cooked daily. Store is a bit small, but week days are usually the best time to visit.

I enjoy shopping here. Vast variety of authentic Indian food and good service.

I just like this store though it’s a little far away but I go because the customer service is so good. Very happy to get my groceries and price are very reasonable compared to other stores. Always fresh and the best food

There's a small section of fresh produce, a variety of frozen foods and dry goods. Depending on what you buy, the prices aren't too bad. There are also some goods that can be purchased at the register if you're feeling hungry. They're friendly and I would definitely shop here again.

Great selection of mostly indian ingredients/foods. All the spices you could ever need for your indian dishes. Pretty large selection of frozen items. They have a small selection of fresh veggies as well.

Go ahead and get a few samosas while you are there. They are delicious and pretty cheap.

Nice little store. The workers are very friendly and they have a lot of Indian food to choose from. There are freshly cooked items at the cash register also which are very tasty.

Great Indian grocery store. Not huge but packed with good stuff for making tasty dishes and curries. I don't even recognize all they have on the shelf. Lots of chilled stuff too, including paneer cheese and three different types of Indian beer. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If you cook Indian dishes Swagat will have what you need.

The staff and owner are always friendly. the always have ready to go snacks available like samosa and etc... for people to eat fresh made indian food rather then fast food. usually have sales going on. a very friendly environment to be around love stopping by swagat all the time they always have fresh veggies and new inventory

I go here for the organic vegetables no pesticides on those veggies and I love the ginger and ghee.

I always come here for the samosas! They have great Indian desserts to try as well. I get the kulfi too! Pistachio kulfi is the best! I've been coming here with my family for years, no lie. The owners recognize my dad because he comes so often too 😂

I've started bringing my friends as well, and they love this place as well!

This little store is a gem. I found many of the rare items I was looking for. I am making various Pho bowls. Very nice staff and customers (helpful). I had NO SALT masala RUFFLES.
