You have got to go on the "Haunted Tour" Raven was amazing and extremely knowledgeable in her history, the gift shop has some cool little items as well. Highly recommend.

If pre-teens in today's society still thinks this stuff is as cool as I do. Than there is some real hope out there for us yet! But anyone that doesn't work outside of there and hate should be booted. Reminded me of the joke shops or between yet the ice cream man from California. A local gem...

A nice little novelty store in the downtown area. Visit and find something for anyone here. From gems and rock, to incense and toys, to shirts and mugs to all sorts of things you didn't even know existed.

Had a ghost tour with Lady Raven. What an awesome tour. She is kind, funny, knowledgeable and her story telling of the ghosts history and life is phenomenal. I recommend requesting her as your guide to know the New Bern ghosts... love you lady Raven ... you will definitely see again...

This shop has a wide variety of items, from crystals and toys to clothing and other accessories. It's worth popping in when you are in a shopping mood.

This was my favorite shop in downtown New Bern, and I 100% recommend visiting. We didn't have time for the ghost tour this trip, but the shop itself has a fun vibe and a ton of fun novelty gift items to look through. We had a great time looking around, and I hope to come back again another day!

Friendly staff, a clean shop and lots of exciting novelty gifts here. The magnets were the highlight for me, so many fun sayings and tongue-in-cheek plays on 1950s American cultural norms. I also highly recommend this place as it is the only store that actually prints out a business card to tell you where to find the public restrooms in the town within walking distance. This little shop offers haunted walking tours that are really worth the walk and even braving the colder weather for. My husband and I visited the Black Cat Shoppe before heading out on the tour last night.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area, as well as cognizant of the wide variation of guests walking along the tour and their ability to travel to each stop on the route. Our guide was very consistent as we walked, letting us know at each stop where we could take photos, when we needed to be courteous of the house guests/owners inside, when to watch for a pothole/puddle ahead, and how we could make it through the tour without an extra spooky friend to bring home to haunt!

The tour was 90 minutes that rushed by faster than I thought possible, me being under the impression I would have trouble completing the long walk after already walking all day long. Both my husband and I were full to bursting with some excellent local food and drink, but the walk was soothing and attention grabbing!

We will be interested in visiting again as well as taking a second ghost tour in hopes of new stories and sightings! We only wish the Black Cat hadn’t closed as we made our way back to the store front, at the exact time the tour was scheduled to end (kind of defeating the point of our discount for the rest of the night after claiming our tickets). The shoppe is a prankster’s dream, making real every mischievous plan, and even encouraging new ones!

AWESOME shop! We managed to entertain an 8-year-old with ADHD for almost an hour here, which is saying something. The variety of toys and trinkets for all ages was truly impressive and fun for all of us to explore. Will absolutely be going back when we get the chance!!

I love this store. My mother in law has a shop on the same street and the smell of incense drew me in back in 2019. I go there whenever I'm downtown New Bern. I've bought items from every section of the store and have been pleased so far

A fun novelty toy shop. They have a selection of gag gifts, toys, collectables and items of the "witchy" variety. My four year old has a blast looking around and making treasure chests, and I can stock up on incense and sage bundles.

Novelty shop worth checking out. They have a large selection and helpful staff. Situated in downtown new bern, this shop is a welcome addition to the attractions already found here.
