Cow Cafe

This place is GREAT! My sister and I both love the ice cream. The atmosphere is great and eclectic. My sister especially enjoys cows so this was nostalgic for sure. They have a party room in the back that’s cute for little kids birthday gatherings. They make their ice cream on site. I tried the blue moo ice cream it was delicious. I thought it tasted like a light cotton candy flavor with m&ms. My sister got the gooey cowphooy with pecans on top she said it was excellent. I will be back for sure when I’m in New Bern again. Beautiful sights to see near by too.

I LOVE ice cream. It’s one of my absolute favorite things. I’m so glad we found this place on our visit to New Bern, NC. They had a great selection of homemade flavors and sundaes. I had the “gooey cowphooey” sundae, and it was amazing! The portions were very generous and the prices were very reasonable. I hope I have time to go back before we leave and try the birthday cake ice cream. It has a cake batter ice cream base and sprinkles. My daughter had it and loved it. They also have a food menu! You must try it!

I have been going to this place back when I was just old enough to walk. After all of these years, they still make exceptional ice cream. I would recommend the Rum raisin, and/or Lemon cookie ice cream. They used to have an ice cream with chocolate and malted milk balls which was my favorite when I was a kid. But that flavor must have been lost in time with the dinosaurs.

Had an amazing Greek cow wrap with fresh popcorn! Ice cream was amazing and the cone was fresh! Super cute vibes with a play area for littles and decent variety menu!

Well, my coworker actually bought coffee from next door and it was cold. I accidentally walked into this restaurant and asked for a new cup and, even though we eventually realized that I was in the wrong store, they gave me a nice hot cup of coffee. I insisted on paying, but they were incredibly kind to offer me a free cup. Great place.

I absolutely love coming here. Anytime I go the staff is always kind and service is fast and amazing. Definitely go and get their bbq sandwich it’s so good.

This is the Cow Cafe' in New Bern. If you love cows, this is the place for you! They serve lunch and dessert. In the back is a play area for the kids that looks like a little farm. We chose to sit back there. Our little ones had such a fun time! You’ve gotta love themed restaurants! It does tend to get very crowded so I recommend grabbing a table quickly. Such a cute idea!

This is a wonderful ice cream shop and diner in the heart of New Bern. If you want a local experience of a shop that has been around for decades, this is it. There is also a play area in the back for toddlers that make it a perfect family friendly spot for dessert.

I had lots of fun. Everyone was nice. We had the chocolate mountain, and a banana split thing that came with strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream.

Cow cafe is a must for a down town New Bern experience. There is always a line, though bc they are so popular so be prepared to wait. The selection of ice cream flavors is good and the kids play room area in back is perfect to keep the littles entertained.

Was such a sweet stop on our walk around New Bern. We popped in for some lunch and were not disappointed. They have the best quesadilla and their ranch dressing is amazing. The service was very friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. So hospitable. We definitely recommend this place to families who don’t want to go to a fancy seafood restaurant and want theirs kids to enjoy the atmosphere as well. There’s also a play room in the back! You will enjoy it as much as we did

More than just ice cream...yummy reasonably priced sandwiches. Great place for kids. Back room has a small play area and there is an operating train that circles the ceiling. Also a cool collection of salt/ pepper shakers on display.

Cow Cafe is a one of a kind restaurant. Whenever we are in New Bern it is a must stop place for us. We live in Florida and the Cuban Cow is the best Cuban sandwich we have ever had. The ice cream is so creamy and indulgent. My husband always gets the Mooberry Mousse or Cowpuccino fudge. I try something new every time but the almond joy is my favorite. Cow Cafe is a true gem!

Colossal ice cream cookie Sunday is well Colassal.

My husband and I are self-proclaimed hot dog connoisseurs. The hot dogs at Cow Cafe are worthy of six stars (an extra star for the toasted bun). The Mooford's Chocolate Mountain is worthy of 11 stars (an extra star for the pecans).

I always love going to the Cow Cafe. It's pretty much a staple in New Bern. Everyone is so kind and nice and the food and ice cream are consistent and delicious. Sam is wonderful!!!

Tried the cowdoozie sundae, I believe was the name? Made with their Gooey Cowphooie ice cream which was so good! Ice cream is made in house, excited to try more flavors!

We thoroughly enjoyed going! The ice cream was all SO GOOD! I had the Blue Moo (I couldn’t stop eating long enough to get a picture). Everyone walking in the street was so cordial.... it was just a great time!!!
