Legitimately my go to place I live way out in Wright City but when I broke my fly rod I went straight to this small business instead of the big box stores. These guys are a great group to talk to and share fun fishing stories while also buying top of the line gear. They even took the time to teach me some better casting tips as a relatively new fly fisherman it was greatly appreciated. Thanks for the new set up guys!

I'm a complete novice to fly fishing, so I stopped in just to check it out - ended up booking a casting lesson with Craig. WELL worth the money! The shop is great as well. Highly recommend checking them out.

Tom and Craig are the very best. Their knowledge of everything you need to know about fly fishing is incredible. The shop is fully equipped with all your fly fishing needs. This place is a must visit before you spend a penny anywhere else.

This is the best fly shop in Missouri. They're a small shop with a sometimes somewhat limited inventory, but the service and attention you'll receive at Hargrove's is second to none. The tying classes are a great time and very informative, the tying material prices are fair and the clientele are almost all so friendly and helpful. For the novice and salty old pro alike, there's something for everyone here.

Wow, this is a wonderful fly shop, amazing selection and incredible staff. Everyone is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I had a lot of fun and learned trying out different rods with Mitch and Craig. This shop is as much a store as a community. I can’t wait to come back.

Going into a fly fishing specialty shop buying supplies to make crappie jigs I had anticipated some laughs and such but instead the guys were unbelievably helpful and offered a ton of knowledge on how to make them, materials, threads and more. Unreal how knowledgeable and passionate they are about fishing. Absolutely cannot beat the atmosphere, knowledge and passion they all have!

This is more of an experience than a shopping trip. There is just about every thing you could want for fly fishing.

First time visiting was today(2/4/22) and let me tell you this place is awesome. Great selection of fly tying material, good prices. I spoke with Tom today as he was cashing me out and he was a very cool down to earth guy. I will definitely be back.

Just went here for the first time. I'm a fly fishing newbie and felt very comfortable here. Craig provided great service in helping me pick out some waders and boots and getting my dad's old rod and real spruced up with some new line.

What a great experience! I needed some flies for a gift for someone heading to the Smokey Mountains. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. He picked out a bunch of flies and gave me some booklets for the Missouri area as well. I highly recommend these folks! Great people and wonderful atmosphere.

Stopped in here to see about repair some non fly rods. Craig took care of me and answered all my noobie questions about fly fishing! Looking at getting into fly fishing and this will be the place I shop at! Great selection and willing to answer any questions you have!

I am excited to be back in St. Louis and shop at my favorite fly fishing store! Craig and Tom are the best! Their knowledge of everything having to do with fly fishing is amazing. I am so happy I found them when I rekindled my love of fly fishing. Even when they are busy they take the time to greet every customer and ask if they need any help or if they have any questions! This is why they have been in business as long as they have. They have so much inventory displayed in this old house that you could spend hours and not see it all. But if you are looking for something in particular they will know right where to find it!
They have a fly tying table right inside the door and you are welcome to sit down and tie a fly, or just watch someone else tie!!
I hope they will be able to start fly tying classes again soon! These were the highlight of my Tuesday evening and I learned to tie many new patterns from Craig and Eric.

I was introduced to T Hargrove after a co worker brought me in Over a year ago. This place is absolutely incredible! Mr Hargrove and Craig are easily some of the nicest and most insightful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of buying fly tying equipment from. Today I went in to buy some tying materials, and mentioned to Craig I always seem to have trouble with elk/deer hair patterns. He took the time to give me a little bit of a lesson while there were at least 3 or 4 other people in there, and while trying to answer phone calls. Super generous of him to do that, and I went home and tied some killer looking caddis patterns! They’ve definitely got a customer for life out of me.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable are three words that come to mind. Unlike some fly shops that have aloof staff and treat newcomers coldly, the T Hargrove Fly Shop is welcoming and staffed with folks who like what they do. They are well stocked and always have what I need: it's my go to...

Had almost everything I need at good prices! The only reason I say almost, is because they've run out of a couple things, which is absolutely expected with the quality of product and service you'll receive there. It's my new home for tying materials and gear!

They have everything you need for fly fishing. Always very helpful and knowledgeable about river conditions and recommendations on what the trout are biting.

I have visited this shop many times, and the service is extraordinary. I once showed up right at closing time to buy a gift for my step father. The staff helped me out like it was the middle of the day and they had no where to be. Most of the time I am in there you find several people hanging around, tying flies and telling stories. It is what fly shops ought to be.
