Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I always love coming here near the ber months! Our waitress was super sweet! We had a mixed order or breakfast and lunch in our party! The wait time for the food was short. Everything that came out was delicious according to our party! The chicken fried chicken is always a recommend! Then the shopping made it even better!

This place was great. We had a party of 13. They did a good job of keeping up with everything, refills on time, and responded to our additional requests immediately. Service with a smile. And no mistakes keeping individual orders correct.

What an experience, I was ready for lunch and knew what I wanted. From start to finish I was impressed. Greeted by friendly staff and seated in a timely manner. The waitress was very attentive and kind. What took me by surprise was how quickly my meal arrived. It didn't stand a chance! I'll be back.

Server was terrific. friendly, knowledgeable, efficient.
But, the survey you force all your customers to complete before we can finish paying for our meal delays this step, taking more time for each person and for the cashier.

It’s Cracker Barrel so it’s pretty standard food and mine was good. This review is strictly for the service I received which was amazing. I did the thanksgiving pick up order and the young woman who came out to my car to get my name and brought my food to me was extremely nice and polite even when they had a giant line of cars and orders to get through. That alone would be enough to make me go back was the quality of service.

Nice place to stop, relax, and eat on a busy day out. The service was quick, and the food cooked to my liking. I even enjoyed a mimosa.

This was my first time at Cracker Barrel so I was pretty excited to try it after hearing all the hype. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with sides of Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese and Hashbrown Casserole. Every single item here was super good. Mary got the Cracker Barrel Sampler: Meatloaf, Chicken n Dumplings and Sugar Cured Ham with sides of Green Beans, Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. Mom ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. We got a bread basket with biscuits and cornbread. Cracker Barrel has so many choices, our server was super nice, gave us her personal recommendations and was very personable. Pretty much tried all the food we ordered, everything was really good. Like sometimes at restaurants there’s at least 1 thing you don’t really like but that wasn’t the case at Cracker Barrel. Would love to try it for breakfast!

Always enjoy the service and attention here. There's attentive management on site every time I've been here. They address their diners complaints immediately. The food is fresh and plenty of refills on beverage. They offer to-go containers as well as to-go beverages. Just ❤ their greens. The breakfast food is delicious and hot when brought to the table. The biscuits and corn bread are extras you just don't see offered as this restaurant always has them fresh and hot so the butter melts when you spread it. Shopping in the store front is also an experience I recommend. It's seasonal items are in abundance,, and the sweets are some throw back items not found any place except maybe online.

I have found that you really can't go wrong at any cracker barrel. It's going to be pretty much the same, I will say that the mattoon one has a very friendly team and the food was great. My only issue is whether I can get breakfast or lunch haha

***UPDATE....I haven't eaten here since the pandemic so we went back today, 1/6/23. I figured prices have gone up and portions got smaller. I was wrong! Prices are up slightly as expected. But portion size was not a problem at all! My wife and I shared the chicken fried chicken dinner with 3 sides. I was surprised to see 2 huge chicken pieces. How one person could eat all that, I have no idea. Especially with sides of green beans, mashed potatoes, fried apples and biscuits. All for $13. Still good value for your money and service was quick and polite.

I've visited this resturant many years ago and decided to come by with some friends recently. I would say the food is alright, if you wanted a simple meal. The prices are reasonable. The service was slow (assuming short staff), but the staff members were friendly. I think the atmosphere was great and the gift shop was so much fun.
Of course, I'll be back again soon. I like breakfast for dinner sometimes. :)

My breakfast was delicious. Our server was bright and cheery. She was very courteous and checked on us often.

That was by far the beat server we have ever had. The only complaint is that the hostess seated us in a dark corner by the kitchen. Would have stayed if it had better lighting. Watched her, tried and seat 3 other couples there, and they moved as soon as she walked away.

Cracker Barrel is always a go to for a great meal. Especially breakfast for dinner. Look at all those delicious sliced strawberries on top of pancakes with a cream cheese filling, and strawberry syrup on the side. It was so good. 🍓
It is even better with chocolate whipped cream.

An absolute dime of a place to eat. I come all the time and i absolutely love every staff member that I get greeted by super friendly to costumers and always hard at work. Started off getting seated by the nicest lady named Elise, I then had a tall blonde named Rilee as my server and she couldn’t have been any better at her job running around helping every table I could see while still looking to be level headed and as nice as can be. Will most definitely continue to come and give my business.

Great food menu. The "Benny" breakfast was fantastic! Always fun place to eat. You know your getting old when you know what the antiques were for. Server was great and courteous. Met this cowboy (Colorado maybe?) in the shop where they have a plethora of unique and fun gifts.

I haven't had a sit down breakfast in well over a year. Finally went out today and couldn't have been happier. Amazing experience, great prices, and super friendly staff! I've never thought of Cracker Barrel for pancakes, and I've NEVER thought of steak here but wow, so good. Ask for Bill, he's the best!!

If you've been to one then you know what you're going to get. That being said, it's well worth the money to go anytime you're wanting something home and hearth cooked! Also, they have a reward point system in their app which is awesome for some free food!

I had a wonderful breakfast with my grandparents right before I left for college at this Cracker Barrel! The staff was so lovely and our food came out very quick even though it was so busy. After we finished eating, we stayed an hour longer to talk and say goodbye and the staff never rushed us or seemed upset! I really appreciated that!

Our food was very good and our waitress did a fantastic job! We also like the old time store and overall experience at Cracker Barrel!
