H-E-B

If this HEB were a person it would be that one person that everybody loves is always totally down to earth and gives the best advice. The one who is somehow uniquely dressed but always in style even though that's not what the style was. Their brother is the guy from the most interesting man in the World commercials and everything they do is like amazing and they weren't even trying they were just like oh I was just messing around and made that and it's a whole Gourmet dessert section.

Yeah, the cakes look scrumptious. Even as an adult, I was tempted to lick the glass. Also, the seafood section did not smell like sad ocean. It smelled fresh. You see guys, I don't do ocean dwellers... don't like fish... but it smells so fresh that I was like "oh I could eat some fish."

Oh my gosh, the floral section was to die for. I need to get one of these scratch-offs to be on my side because I have about 18 new plants I need to buy.

Went to pick up a couple of last minute items for the holiday dinner. The hams were a good deal to begin with and then got a big box of cheese/macaroni mix,.a bag of broccoli florets, a package of sweet potatoes and some ice cream to round out the meal for a great price! Love HEB!

Most clean, organized and well put together HEB I’ve seen! I’m impressed. Whoever put the setup and organizing is genius. I’m definitely stopping here more often when visiting family. It’s calm here too. The elmpoyee’s are also in their zone. Love it!
It looks gorgeous the exterior as much as the interior. My take back though was the restroom for women’s (blame, the people,) was mad dirty in two stalls. Thankfully the biggest one was clean.

Helpful workers and clean spaces. This grocery store is well laid out and fully stocked. The produce and meat departments have a wide, fresh selection of items. Seasonal items are displayed nicely. This is a great store. I wish we had HEB in Virginia, where I live!!!

Looking for cake and bakery was closed. I was going to assist myself and got caught by this nice man name Wendell, who politely informed me that I could not get my own cake and that he would help me. Lol! He put on a hair net and gloves and boxed up the cake I wanted, and the one my daughter wanted too. All with a smile!! Great customer service and even the cashier AND manager were wonderful! I sure wish the HEB we live near had these wonderful people there and all the different foods etc that my HEB doesn’t have. Seriously, we have NO friendly people at mine (Bulverde/Evans) or my daughter’s on Walzem. This store was extra clean too! Enjoyed our visit to the best HEB I have been it. Thank you Wendell!

I have been shopping at this HEB for 23 years. Love it very much because it is close to my home and it is a relatively small store. Not so much walking.

Back in the good ol’ 1950s-1980s (not sure the exact dates), the good ol’ Oak Park H-E-B (in good ol’ Oak Park-Northwood) was just a lil’ ol’ Handy Andy with a lil’ ol’ shopping mall attached to it (the good ol’ Oak Park Village). It had a little bank, San Antonio Savings, a little book shop (where I bought all my “Encyclopedia Brown” paperbacks - of which there are 28), a little flower shop, a little bridal shop, a little Fox Photo, a (not so little) pharmacy (with a hilariously grouchy pharmacist named Bart who reminded me of Ed Asner), and a funny lil’ barber shop (that reminded me of the one on the Andy Griffith Show) stuffed way back in the corner. Boy, I sure do miss that funny little mall, but as much as I do, I’m also pretty grateful they didn’t end up demolishing it for a brand new (and much bigger) H-E-B - apparently, from what I’ve heard, the folks’ in the neighborhood made such a stink about the proposed demolition of their beloved Handy Andy/Oak Park Village that H-E-B eventually relented and ended up re-purposing the super cool twin A-frame structure (which was designed by architect Reginald Roberts, who also designed the Berta Almaguer Dance Studio (1955) over by Woodlawn Lark, the Petroleum Center (1958) off 410 and Broadway, and the ol’ Main Bank and Trust building (1959), which you might know better as the cool lookin’ modernist “Mad Men” Luby’s on North Main) into the unique “boutique” H-E-B it is today (it’s small) - and thank goodness they did, it’s the crown jewel of good ol’ Oak Park-Northwood, and in my humble opinion, of all the H-E-B’s in good ol’ San Antone, the good ol’ Oak Park H-E-B is the best of the bunch - so good in fact that it’s also officially known as H-E-B #1!

Best place for me to get stuff for the week away from home to be with Eric while he’s at work and keep him satisfied in all the ways you can think of & imagine

Talk about great customer service! Angelica went above and beyond. I’m a walking jinx, and of course the ballon garland I got from the floral department went straight to the ceiling. The employees went out of their way to get them down for me! I am forever grateful. Thank you a bunch 🙏🏻

Good selection of products at 10AM not many people in this HEB

I was SHIPTING here, for the first time today. The staff was outstandingly helpful and friendly. They helped me find all the different items I needed for my customer. Thanks to Adam, Drew, Lauren and the young man in the meat department who helped me find the right slices. 😳

Excellent H.E.B. compact size but excellent selection good if limited mobility.

small store, it didn't look like heb at first but was fast and easy to get in and out after work, and since it's close by work, I'll probably be stopping by a few more times. I prefer the smaller stores, fewer lines and crowds, to fight.

This has been one of my favorite HEB's for many years. Now that I live in the area I often shop here (or the store on Basse & Broadway). It is not too big and easy to navigate. Despite it's smaller footprint it has a great selection of products and I almost always find what I am looking for.

Great little H.E.B store. Very organized. Friendly staff. Produce team, specifically mid day to evening shift are AWESOME. Good selection of fruits, deli, bakery, even the pharmacy staff are super nice. Favorite H.E.B store.

This is a nice HEB! This facility is super clean, going through this HEB feels like you are in an upper scale neighborhood. Well since this HEB is in a better place than some you see better grade of items that you wouldn't find at HEB in lower scale neighborhoods cause they won't sell. I really like this HEB it even looks nice with ambience and nice decor.

This is the most beautiful HEB I've ever seen. On the exterior of the store, it's brick with metal roof. Interior is wooden. Even the HEB SIGN outside on the parking lot is wood. So beautiful. It matches the area. Since this area has a lot of trees. This part of San Antonio doesn't feel densely populated so the look and design make sense. If they was no HEB sign inside or outside you would never know this was an HEB because it has a small grocery store type of feel to it but I love that. I love this heb. Some HEB have a glassy more modern look and that's ok too. But I'm a small town type of guy so I think this HEB is the most beautiful in the entire state
