My new favorite store, too bad I live in Kentucky 😭 this ceviche is magnificent!!! A fifth of Tito's was $17.22 😃 The smells from the bakery are alluring. ❤ beautiful produce as well. Oh, I can't say enough good things about the tamales 👨‍🍳

Being an ex grocer, this place is always grand opening condition. Staff is friendly and the store is clean.

The Northgate Market is a must stop and eat when in Barrio Logan. I love their five flavors of ceviche . This market is fantastic. Fresh food tastes better. Thank you to the ladies that make their home made food Did I mention the mango ceviche. A bargain. And plenty of seating there for eating in. The park and Gonzalez market make for a nice afternoon walk and snack. I give them 5 stars !!!

Go to Northvate for great groceries, like the Asian markets you'll find incredibly friendly staff, unique items, standard products, and (especially at northgate) some great prepared food from simple chicken to 3 types of chicharron. Produce aisle is my absolute favorite. Come for your groceries and then spend some time on Main walking the Barrio for a drink and a bite. If you think someone like you wouldn't be welcomed, you're wrong.

My evaluation is for Monday at noon. All the produce looked fresh. They had fresh herbs, meaning not wilted and looking freshly picked - and various herbs I don't see at standard grocery stores such as "epazote", fresh laurel leaves, "ruda", fresh chamomile.
They carry clothes soap bars Zote brand and one other.
There was a hot drinks station selling three drinks: champurrado (chocolate), atole de elote (fresh grated corn), and atole de nuez (nut).
Also a friendly woman was making guacamole from scratch and customizing the standard ingredients to accommodate customers' preferences.
Corn tortillas are made on-site with no extra chemicals just the basics: corn, water, lime.
The hot foods, looking just made, could be eaten at the outdoors tables or the counters inside. There were large chile rellenos, caldo de res, "bowls" with choice of carne asada, adobada, or chicken.
The store also had cookware, ingredients and brands from South America such as pots, ground legume flours.

Great place all you need for the perfect cook out. Great variety of all foods ane breads.

Great place for many things mexican, latino and more of course. Also, menudo, tamales on the go or sit and enjoy. Yum

If you are looking for Mexican goods, such as fresh tortillas, dips, salsas, hot sauce etc this is the place. Not very vegetarian friendly, make sure to check ingredients if you don't want lard in your dough for example.

Love this market!! We are visiting from out of state and wanted to grab some food to take to the beach. So happy we stopped here. Great variety of food and very well-priced. We grabbed some items from the bakery, tamales and fruit. We also got one of about a dozen ceviche varieties. Friendly and helpful service also. I highly recommend checking this market out. 😎

They were out of pineapple tamales when we went so we will def be back to grab some.

This store has so many choices. Fresh cooked to shop the aisle. A must go.

If you live downtown or anywhere around Logan, this market is great. It has a fresh butcher and the prepared food is always great thing. I always have to get his salsa and their chips are good tortillas are excellent prices are outstanding. PS 90% of the time I usually get their Carnitas, Carnitas fresh tortillas salsa burrito excellent. I keep adding on but also they’re refried beans are really good that’s one of the things I always have to try out a new taco shop to me that’s why I can judge if it’s a good taco shop or not if you can’t make good refried beans you’re not a good taco shop

Got there just in time to get hot fresh bollios and macaroni salad. But they don't always have macaroni salad, which I love and really wished they would make it available daily

Bought a cake for my wifes birthday and it was very good. The baker even put her name on it.

I like Northgate, they have sodas with Real sugar. I like the shrimp they sell in the Deli, we also get the rice sometimes. Everything is really nice .....

Incredible vegetable & fruit choices, as well as a huge meat department. To go or eat inside food ate traditional Mexican delicious dishes.

1st time visiting and fell in LOVE!! I will be a regular shopper! The Bakery is Amazing! Every hour fresh new goodies! The Eatery area has so many choices prepared hot/cold foods! 6 different Ceviche's!!! Oh and its a full supermarket with so many items you cannot find elsewhere with a Full Butcher shop for choices of any of the animal parts! On top of low prices and a super friendly staff!
