The Shell Cellar

This store is probably one of my favorite places ever... I have been going there since childhood, so it retains a lot of nostalgia for me, but the overall quality and customer service has remained the same. Every time I go to collect more shells, the staff is always super friendly and willing to help me find what I am looking for. I have been thrilled to find so many treasures here! It's a Pier 39 treasure itself!

what an absolutely AMAZING store! i could have spent hours looking through all of the baskets, shelves and walls full of the most unique, coolest and cutest trinkets. i intially only went in to look, i wasn't planning on buying anything, but when i laid eyes on the pufferfish with GOOGLY EYES i couldn't pass it up. unfortunately, my husband and i are traveling from boston so it would have been extremely difficult to bring it home without breaking its spines. fortunately, the shop offers shipping! laila was able to help us fill out the form and within a couple days let me know the cost of shipping and had it sent out. sthe shell cellar was truly one of my most favorite shops i've visited my entire trip thus far!

So, so many shiny things under one roof! This is an absolute treasure trove, with a literal treasure chest to pick thru of special shells right in the front!!!
I happened to spot this on a random adventure and was quite pleased happy with their supply of shells.
The shop is very well lit, allowing excellent review of products, the shells are basketed and very well marked. High quality items and what I would consider very reasonable prices.
Staff was very helpful, and don't let the small space fool you. There's a lot in that, and you can't just do a window view to truly experience it!

Great little shop with unique gifts. Jewelry, mermaids, shells and glass pieces to names just a few. The cashier was really helpful and kind as well. I really recommend this little shop if you need a gift to take home from San Francisco.

This is in the most touristy of tourist spots in California. So....expensive? Yeah. Unique and different products, jewelry, souvenirs....also yup. I always stop here when I find myself in the wharf area. Its worth a look.

Such an enjoyable experience!! They had beautiful shells, jewelry, and so much more! The owner was so kind and helpful and was so kind to welcome me to SF as it was my first visit! Definitely the best shop ever!

Ok, full disclosure. When G decided to take a chance on A when she married him, we were in SF at the Shell Cellar and she wanted these shell themed wind chimes to hang in our bathroom so this was the reason we actually went to SF today. She found the chimes and for a store on the pier Ifoundctbe price agreeable for 26.00. The girl behind the counter was awesome. If her bodd reads this she's the college student who transfered from a valley school to a Bay Area school. She's a great kid and a great ambassador to the public. She's easily the 4th and 5th stars here. The store is great, but her customer service is what made it a 5 star experience

I flew to San Francisco from Nevada strictly for a beautiful necklace I had seen on a previous trip. I also bought the matching earrings, the both are so beautiful. I cherish them both and I only wear them for special occasions. It will be passed on to my Granddaughter. I would though like to get the other color variation of the same necklace .No lie, it means the world to me.
