Half Price Books

I’ve been coming here since I was in HS after I would leave from the mall across the street. Love it here. They have so many options, friendly employees and I just learned today that you can trade in old books, video games and DVDs for money. I got $24.94 since which is great. Now I found a hobby to do every other weekend 😊.

Every employee here was extremely sweet &super helpful! Not to mention, their selection is insane!! They have so many great books here brand new and gently used. Great store

Great selection of a variety of materials from albums, CD’s educational materials, and great books. Staff quite friendly and knowledgeable about what they have in house.

Really enjoyed my time here. Found it on accident while trying to find Barnes and Noble. They had free coffee which was a decent strong brew. Had a great Christian section and had lots of Star trek books! You can also bring books here to sell. Can't wait to come back! Bring back the book stores!

As always I can find rare and out of print books consistently. This location has great surprise finds for me. Highly recommend! Very helpful staff will help you locate the titles your searching for. They will walk you to the area and find it for you. Excellent!

I have been visiting Half Price Bookstore in Orland park for the last 10 years probably. I am someone who still love the feel of a book. I work with computers so I am constantly looking at it and also my phone. So I want to feel a book in my hand and turn the pages but I don't want to spend a fortune on new books. I know..I know..I'm frugal because I also browse the clearance section. But how am I going to try every genre of books if I'm constantly paying $20 a book! So I get the clearance books and try all the ones I like. I've actually gotten some great reads if it wasn't for clearance! If you're in the Orland park location and a music, book, game, movie lover.... definitely stop by. There are 3 locations but I actually find the most at the Orland park location. I strongly recommend visiting all 3. Happy reading! 📚📚📚

This store has it all - Books, Music, Comics, Games… and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Always my first stop while in Orland Park.

I just started reading Colleen Hoover and they have a great selection. I love their children's section. We do jigsaw puzzles too and they have some fun ones.

These are good stacks to haunt. No skinny lattes or vegan carrot cake, just food for your mind.

I really like HPB for most items. They have puzzles, journals, great books for kids, teens & adults of all ages. Love that there is a wealth of information & activities at a great price. A definite go to!!

Awesome place to go and find vintage records board games novels and video games. I usually go and pick up a few games from the retrosection in there Recently and really enjoy their selection also they carry a lot of old comics found a Japanese version of the death of Superman one time which was awesome even though I don't speak Japanese it's just a cool thing to have as a display item and a conversation starter

I've been coming here for a super long time, and I always bring my dog Roxie. The staff love to see her and they're all super nice! HPB has a very cozy atmosphere and a big selection of books and movies. Good stuff, good prices (most stuff is under 15$), and I much prefer it to other big chain bookstores. Also pretty sure that the store is very LGBT friendly, which is very cool!
