This place has the best burger I've had anywhere in NOLA by a long shot! I love the attention to the quality of ingredients, the care my burgers were made with, and the chef's flavor choices. Last time I was there they were still advertising organic beef, I hope that's still the case and if it's grass fed too even better. In any case, my burgers have been really good and deeply satisfying for that burger itch. They're big enough you probably won't even need fries. And they're messy, a hallmark of a good burger. But not careless-the mess is worth it, flavor wise. This is a counter at the back of a food store, there's no seating area. And bring cash for the tip! You gotta try it if you're in NOLA and really want a burger. I'd love to know how more people rank it on their list of New Orleans burgers.

House sitting for friends in the Bywater area and always look for good local food. King Nola is located in the back of Mike’s convenience store near the corner of St. Claude and Independence. Tiny place. Dark. But smells divine. The nice young man who was the cook and kept up with the front business took my order and about 20 minutes later I walked out with heaven in a box. I ordered the Bacon Baron and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! The patty was handmade and tender and every bite was full of flavor. Make sure you have plenty of napkins or maybe a towel!! The seasoned crinkle fries are good but the burger is the star. If you are anywhere near here or even going to be driving by, I highly recommend stopping for a delicious burger. You will not regret it!!

Been going here on and off (depending if I was living in this area) for 13 years. Definitely make sure to check out Taco Tuesday.

I've only had the dirty commie fries a few times and have yet to try the burgers (which I'm sure are delicious given the quality of the meat that tops the best loaded fries around. For under $9 ($8.80 w/tax) you get the prefect meal and possibly lunch due to the generous serving. Warning doesn't get 'Red Scare sauce' unless you enjoy sweating while you eat which I do. It's the best rebalancieng meal or hangover bunch / preventer.

This is the place for THE BEST bacon, cheeseburger ever and I'm 67 and been around all the major cities in the US and Canada! Fries are great too - beats The Junction which is very good. It's a one man operation. Call the order in for pick up in 15 minutes. He has a few other things on the menu.

One of the best in NOLA. It’s inside the Grocery store. Don’t miss out. I had dirty fries and wings. Cheap and delicious. The owner is nice as well. The whole visit really made my day!

Seriously amazing burgers and dirty fries. All fresh & made to order. I'm from Alberta so i grew up on great beef and this is some of the best meat you will ever find. Will keep coming back, thanks King!

The chef is brilliant. Going to make this a regular spot. This the kind of spot you dream of finding and when you do it's a miracle. Love the whole vibe of King Nola the burgers are worth it!

Came to this place due to the high reviews and wasnt disappointed! Quality made to order burgers with really good buns (most important part). Juicy well seasoned burgers that arent falling apart. Plus well seasoned "communist" crinkle cut fries cooked perfectly! Order ahead

My favorite burger joint to go to in New Orleans. Way better then Port of Call! And their wings are really good too! Do yourself a favor and come here for some flavor!

Great stop! We picked up lunch and some drinks. The food was great- we enjoyed the seafood potato and seafood roll 😋 the asparagus with the potato dish was a really nice touch. yum. We are everything too fast to get a picture. Everyone we met there was really nice too! Get there early if you want breakfast or meat items as they’re popular and sell out fast. Thanks again

We’ve been staying around Mike’s for awhile and ashamed to say we just tried their food. We enjoyed everything about the Seafood Pasta, Shrimp platter and Seafood Rolls. Fresh and hot. Beautiful Presentation, Restaurant quality.
Already loyal customers at the store now loyal customers to their kitchen too.

I’m a bus driver and stop here at least 3 times a week their homemade burgers are AMAZING everything is fresh and cooked to perfection!! The customer service is great also.. I’m a customer for life!!!

Went for the booze and stayed for the Food. Very convenient store for first necessities items and also liquor. There is a small kitchen inside too with very friendly people in charge and the food was delicious. Try the jerk chicken and oysters. I definitely recommend this place.

Cheap alcohol and cigarettes, plus they've got a lot of other stuff too. And you can build your own pizza at the Garage in the back. Friendly crew working too. Dependable spot.
