What a great stop!! This is such an amazing idea our kids loved it. Store was clean and organized. Candy was good and very large selection.
If you visiting OBX this is a stop you should not miss if you have kids ;-)

So you want to get high. Have your mind blown. Have Hallucinations as the doctors drain your body of the sugar you can consume. Then this is Sugar Kingdom. I am now proud to be a diabetic. Of which they do have sugar-free options. You can make a whole new line of drinks sweet drink.

Had a blast in this store, so many retro candies I went a tad bit crazy in here lol. The ladies were so helpful and kind.

Our family always hits up the Candy Shop on our OBX vacation. We love the variety and all the fun things they have. It's always a fun part of our trip!

This place is magical. We came for our kids and I was more excited than they were. They have just about every kind of candy you could want. We spent $200 very quickly. But it was so worth it!

Lots of touristy items: shirts, hats, sweatshirts, magnets, key chains
Tons of different candy: oldies, jelly beans, salt water taffy, fudge, gummies

Fun store. If you like fudge there is all kinds. We got a variety and it was all good. Ice cream was good too!

Sugar Planet is a pretty cool shop for all of your sweet tooth needs. This place is wall to wall sweets. Anything you can think of with sugar in it and a bunch of things you probably forgot about. They even have an option where you can pick out what candy you want and pay by weight. Of course, there are also all of the typical OBX souvenirs and a bunch of toys for the kids to pick from. A really cool place to bring your kids into and let them pick out a few things. It's also very clean, which you can appreciate with all that candy sitting around. If you're in Nags Head on vacation, do yourself a favor and stop in and grab some candy.

This store is a kids paradise, every kind of candy imagined. It also has souvenir galore.

Absolutely yes! Candies for miles and ice cream and gifts! I purchased all three! My husband was lifting up the lids and smelling the candy, and the cashier was laughing at what he was doing and was so nice to our family. I liked it.

If I could rate zero I would. Bought a shirt washed it color already washing out. Cheap clothes. Not good quality. I'd return the shirt if i could.

Edit: the owner/manager reached out and sent me not one but two shirts in the mail. Definitely made it right and rectified the situation. Thank you.

All I can say is if you need some sugar intake or some souvenirs from Nags Head, NC or the OBX this is the place to go. They had so many different kinds of candy it was amazing. Plus they had some things in their candy section that I wouldn’t consider candy (example - Bacon and Cheddar flavored Crickets!! Yes dead flavored Crickets!?) but to each their own.

Lots of souvenirs (t-shirts, hats, stickers, magnets, cups, and lots of other things) so if you can’t find that special gift for someone from the OBX then try this place.

Very good quality products for cheap! I bought a nice quality shirt for $14.99 and a 30oz tumbler $16.99! Once I got home I realized I was charged twice on my debit card. I called and they were very nice about it and refunded me. I'll definitely be back if we're ever in the OBX again.

Lots of candies to choose from. The salt water taffy being my favorite did not fail me. The pickle flavored topped my list of must tries. I left with at least 2 of each flavor for myself and family. We also took home tutti frutti jelly beans which are my absolute favorite. Lots of candies to chose from as well as magnets, stickers, and other souvenirs. I wish we had one of these closer. I ran out of salt water taffy and almost my Jelly Belly.

WIDE assortment of candies & sweets available plus plenty of small toys, plushies, knickknacks and clothing. If you have children, they should love it!

Fun for the kids! Expensive for candy but you're paying to see it more than quality of candy.

Fun candy experience. Kids loved filling their own bags of "penny" candy (buy by pound). Bagged/wrapped candy also available- including unique candies like chocolate covered insects or in lollipops. Also Ice cream counter offered plenty of flavors. Souvenirs and kid friendly games and toys also for sale in store. Worth a look!

Love the choices and location of this candy store. The ice cream is pretty darn good as well. Lots of old time candy but careful of the by the .8 lbs gets pricey!
