Warhammer

I had some bad personal experiences with Warhammer as a kid, and kinda always shunned the game. But a friend convinced me to check the game out, and to visit the store and play a game or two.

Ken, the person who greeted me, couldn't have been better at making the environment inviting, without hovering or smothering, and answering all of my questions earnestly. And I ask some rather esoteric questions, rapidly, and randomly.

The first time I went, I didn't buy anything and he was okay with that. Tbh my friend and I were really tired and I didn't really have a fun game of Kill Team. But I listened and watched Ken interact with customers, curious onlookers, and such, each one made to feel welcomed, interacted with individually, and with an intelligence and a very open honesty that is quite refreshing to me. I came back the next weekend, and Ken helped me and my spouse make some excellent purchases, and I had a blast playing my first 40k game today! In the matter of two visits, Ken made me very hopeful for the hobby!

One of the best experiences ever. As a beginner getting into Warhammer and looking for advice before 10th edition drops, the employees are both knowledgeable and super nice. Very hard to find that sort of welcome in other hobby stores.

If you are looking to get into Warhammer/AOS and want an endless repository of good advice and patient explanations, then this is where you want to go. Ken is such a good store manager that you will actually want to pay full price for models in-store rather than resorting to cheaper secondhand options. If you aren't new to the hobby, drop by anyways and try to match wits with Ken. Bet you can't.

Can't believe I never wrote a review. Love this store. First one I went to when I was first interested in the hobby, and the folks who work here are fantastic. It's 2022 now and I still go to this store specifically because of the people who work here, Ken especially. Even have days where I stop here just to hang out and chat after work with no intention of buying stuff at all. Good number of times where I ended up doing so though haha.

Great place for hobby, good selection of products, the manager is welcoming and knowledgeable with amazing social skills and showing an almost instant avaibility to the needs of the clients.

I drive a couple hours just to get there but the place and the people there make it entirely worth it. I can't recommend it enough no matter if you are a hobby beginner or veteran.

The manager is the sweetest and most helpful guy! My boyfriend and I dropped in to check out their paints and models, we explained we were new to the world of minis and only really play D&D which isn’t exactly the same but we’re looking for minis for a home brew. He showed us some really great options after getting and idea for what we were going for, and then went a step further offering to help teach us how to assemble and paint the models! He helped us find out more about the local community and made it all very welcoming and fun. Can’t recommend this store highly enough!

While Andy ran a great store, Ken has really stepped up in his place. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, the staff are almost always happy to help, and even when they can't, they can generally point you towards someone who can. The customers are a little competitive, and sometimes the conversation gets rough, but Ken is usually quick to stop any violence, vocal or otherwise. Beyond the table top that is.

Ken has been extremely helpful and informative every time I've visited the location. As a new player it was a pleasent experience having him answer the questions I had and provide his insights in a friendly manner. Highly recommend this store!

Great store! Great Staff! Great Selection! Ken is super knowledgeable and helpful. Anything they don't have they can order for you. They have a number of high quality terrain tables to use if you want to get a game in. All the patrons seem friendly and laid back as well. What more could you ask for?

Really enjoy my trips to the Warhammer store. Knowledgeable and skilled employees really inspire me to get my army in tip top shape and stay on top of the latest books.

Great store and great manager! I take the trip to Boulder from Littleton just to have conversations and pick up elusive spray primers that have been sold out in my area's hobby stores. Never been disappointed the several times I've came by!

Love this place. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. As someone who is fairly new to the hobby this is especially important to me. I also appreciate how they take the pandemic seriously and adapt their business practices accordingly. Can't wait to get some 40k games in once things calm down. :)

I love this place! It is full of helpful and wonderful individuals. I personally go there every weekend to talk, paint my models, and play the odd casual game or two. I have never seen a dissatisfied customer at ken's (the manager) store. I highly recommend this place for both people getting into the hobby of tabletop wargaming and long time veterans!

Friendly place, the staff member there was knowledgeable about painting, model types, and sales both in house and online.

They have a play army for those who may want to get an idea of how Warhammer 40k is played, all with wonderfully painted models. (Ultra Marines vs Nergal Chaos Marines )

The store seems supportive of its local community, displaying hand painted models by several painters, whom they provided a small card for the artists' signature. They seemed to be able to support up to two decent sized games in store as well, both tables are set up where players and shoppers can interact in the same space comfortably, allowing those who are new to Warhammer to see the models in action.

Overall this very supportive, small and a cozy place to plan for a game or restock on any Warhammer specific supplies. A great place to start or continue your journey in this hobby.

Great store. Brandon is very knowledgeable about the hobby. The metal chairs are kinda brutal, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to get your GW related hobby needs addressed.

Ken was very helpful, and got us set up with a game demo. We played Warhammer Underworlds, and had a great time, so much so that we took a copy home!

He gave us useful advice and suggestions, without pushing to oversell us. Thank you!

Ken really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome to the game and the community. I was so impressed by his knowledge of the mechanics and the lore, he is clearly a diehard fan who landed his dream job. I love that I can come to the store for a free painting lesson, consultation on army builds and strategy, or just to have fun and socialize. I'm sorry if others didnt have the same experience but highly recommend coming back when Ken is on duty.

Ken the manager was super friendly and helpful, especially for someone like me who is just starting out in the hobby. GW’s models are amazing, a bit pricy but you are paying for quality no other company has plastic models with this level of detail
