The atmosphere in this place is so inviting I absolutely loved the southern aesthetic throughout. It’s two levels so you can choose if you want to sit up or down. The patio is on the second level as well. It is super cute with all the greenery and plants they have out there. Some are sitting in vintage bath tubs which added to the overall vibes. Especially if the weather is great I highly recommend sitting out there. We got there right when they opened and soon enough it started to pick up quite a bit. They have a ton of options to choose from on the menu. A lot of southern comfort meals as well which felt like a taste of home. I had the breakfast bison burger with a side of fried okra and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely want to go back and try some more things because it all looked so good.

Cool spot! We met friends on a busy Friday night and were seated in about 15 min. Service was super friendly and prompt. Great bar selections. Large menu with options for all dietary needs. Everyone in our group had great food. It gets very loud inside when full so keep that in mind if you are looking for a quiet spot. This is more energetic. Love the open space and traditional but modernized interior design. Convenient downtown location. We found free street parking pretty close.

Love the top patio area when the weather is nice. There is a nice bar and seating area both downstairs and upstairs. Their infamous jalapeño poppers are a great appetizer if you love truly spicy food. The best thing about this restaurant is that they have all different kinds of food to try. The staff were all nice and friendly too!

Highly recommend the Waterloo! Made a dinner reservation for a group of 19 picky co-workers and everyone loved it. Incredible service, great fresh local food, creative cocktail list plus a solid local beer menu and a cool CO vibe. We had some of everything and my co- workers were still raving about it the next day. Giant thank you to Walter for all of his help in making this a great team client dinner!

Order an old fashioned from Waterloo, you'll love it! I went to Waterloo on New Year's Day, they weren't "selling" food because of the short staff and holiday, totally understandable. But the owner went out of his way to ensure customers had an amazing experience. He provided a spread of brisket, collard greens, and black-eyed-peas free of charge for those who wished to serve themselves. They were kind & attentive, as always - this wasn't the first time I visited and it certainly wont be my last!

This is a very nice place in Louisville. Enjoyed every second and every bite.

We had a private event on the top floor and the food, drinks and service were fabulous! The space is great for celebrating with friends and family. All of the Waterloo crew were extremely attentive to our needs. It couldn’t have gone more smoothly!

Johhny Cash and Bob Dylan adorn the walls and this place has all the energy you would expect. Lots of homemade food and a great bartender. No reservations though and with a larger party that isn't great. The brisket ran out -which I understand - but the one person who did get some felt they could tell...it was just a tad salty. Overall a top notch place...the waitress we had was excellent and we had fun. Maybe just get there a bit earlier to get the brisket!!

Wonderful place in a swath of restaurants and snack bars in Louisville downtown.
The interior is classy, well decorated and clean. The seating is good.
Service here is great. People greet you and make sure your needs are taking care of.
Prices are at par. I wouldn't say cheap but for the quality of food, they are very good.
The menu is short, which is how it should be. There is something for everyone. I tried the crispy fish sandwich which was very good. Would love to be back next time I get a chance.

Wonderful waitstaff and bartenders. Celebrated the start of my birthday here and couldnt rave more about this place. Incredible Tex Mex nachos as well

Stopped here after a long hike...they have heated patio seating with nice lighting upstairs. Also had street seating if you prefer. Ordered the turkey sandwich and it was excellent 👌. The prices are a bit high but the quality of the food made it worth it to me.. The wait staff was attentive and efficient even with a busy evening.

Waterloo is a great place for great vibes. The rooftop patio is a wonderful spot for people watching and listening to some great music. There food is pretty good! It's definitely not the best food I've ever had, but the goat cheese avocados are some of my favorite appetizers ever. They have a lot of vegetarian options for someone like me. But what really determines how good a place is is it's fries, and Waterloo's fries are very good. The staff here is very sweet and will listen to my bad jokes :)

We left one restaurant because the service was super slow, so we ended up here instead. The Waterloo has Fast service with good ol’ American food! Their fried avocado with honey was so unique yet so delicious. Will definitely be back the next time we’re up this way.

Such a great vibe and yummy food. Don’t leave without trying the grilled avocado. Friends in from LA loved how quaint it was and the neighborhood feel. Great waitstaff! Kitchen Open until 10 was a huge selling point!

Had a really nice lunch on the roof top of this restaurnat after I landed in Denver on my way to my friends house. BBQ Brisket sandwich was amazing along with Chips and Salsa. IPA was nice and cold and service was excellent. Look forward to visiting again.

What a great place to eat, drink, and be merry! The Truck Stop Enchiladas are wonderful, and the homemade chips and dips. The guacamole is a must. Just be sure to bring your inner Johnny Cash, or at least a little Willie Nelson. The upstairs deck is divine

First time at Waterloo - I got the Pork Street tacos and definitely was not disappointed! I normally don’t eat anything that has avocado in it, but it was mixed with jalapeños so they made a terrific pair. The pork was juicy and the tortillas were adorable - I guess food can be adorable right? For any southerner visiting, I recommend the Texas Tea. Overall, fantastic visit! Shout out to Al for being a fabulous while waiting on us - 10/10

Great outdoor roof patio for nice days. Good selection of craft beer. Friendly service. I like the new fried chicken sandwich. The special for October 28, 2022 was a curry chicken. It was delicious but embarrassingly small in portion size compared to a sandwich or burger. Charge me more for a decent potion size if it's not economically viable. It feels like I'm being fed a shrinkflation item.

Their tacos are sublime. Some of the best street tacos I’ve had even compared to hole in the wall Mexican places. Patio is one of the nicest in the area with shades in summer and heaters in winter. Drinks and cocktails are great and reasonably priced. Seriously this is one of the best places in the area.
