Lives up to hype and reputation! Best authentic Mexican food and tacos on the north side of Denver. Worth a special trip for the quesabirria, tacos, etc. All items are tasty! Great fresh homemade salsas too. 🌮 🌮 🌮

We’ve been systematically sampling the breakfast burritos all around Boulder and finally got a chance to try this place out two weeks ago. All three of us agreed it was hands down the best breakfast burrito we’ve yet tried, and also the best value by far. There are ample eggs, cheese and meat in every burrito and all three of the house made salsa are fresh and tasty in their own right. We also tried a handful of tacos and they were all very good. Since that first visit, we’ve gotten takeout breakfast several times. The only complaint in several visits is that we asked for barbacoa on all of our burritos the other day and we received bacon on all of them instead. The bacon is fine, but we were looking forward to the barbacoa. That said, we will be back again soon because the food and prices make this the best bang for the buck around. Oh, and the employees are all super warm and friendly!

Went yesterday for the first time(drove from boulder) and it as excellent! Order 7 tacos y relleno plate and a flan ( which wasn’t my favorite due to texture) but otherwise Excellent! 4 of us ate two children and two adults for under $ 30 bucks. They have all the traditional meats as well not just the American stuff you can get Tripa Lengua Brilla etc….I honestly kept thinking it about after I ate and literally woke up thinking about how I was gonna order next time. The tortillas were clearly hand made and super fresh, this place is bangin.

I love this place. In short, really good value for really good food.
I first ordered on a Friday night, on which I couldn't get a hold of them on the phone so I stopped by. It was pretty busy which resulted in a 20min wait, but that wasn't too bad. I ordered some tacos - chicken, carnitas, pastor, and barbacoa. The plate of tacos was nice because it came with some additional fixins like fried onions and jalapenos. At $2.50 each, I was a big fan of the tacos. The chicken and carnitas were a bit dry. The pastor was well seasoned but a bit sweet for my taste. I LOVED the barbacoa though. In total it ended up being $13 for 5 tacos, which itself was pretty filling between my girlfriend and I. I'll definitely be back for some of the other meals they offer.
Then on Sunday morning, I stopped by for a couple of breakfast burritos. We got a ham and a chicken one. They are HUGE. I believe they come with egg, potatoes, cheese, and meat. I couldn't really spot the potatoes, but they might have been mixed in well with the egg. Either way, there was a solid amount of meat in both of them and the tacos are huge for ONLY $5. They didn't have a whole lot of flavor without the salsas, so definitely get some of those (the chicken was better on this front because it was more seasoned than the ham).
Overall this place gets 5 stars because the food and service is great, and the price is unmatched.

Update: Got another breakfast burrito. This time the pierna (shredded pork). I wasn't sure if I'd like it with the marinade, but it made it a lot better than the previous breakfast burritos. I noted how most of the flavor on those came from the salsa, but this time the pierna was plenty flavorful in and of itself. Also ordered the cajeta (caramel) churro. It was also good. Not a huge fan of the way it was filled with caramel (rather than a dip), but good nonetheless. I'd probably go for plain next time.

Simple, authentic, and delicious. Including the chile relleno.

We has heard of this place before bur finally made it to try their food. There is a counter space and a few chairs but not a lot of seating so we took our food to go. We had the tacosBarbados, a pastor and a pescafo burrito with everything. All were very generously portioned and delicious. The burritos had avocado which was nice and the taco came with a roasted jalapeño, a piece of potato and grilled onions. They have a very varied menu with a lot of options. Service was quick and friendly and prices are great. Will definitely be back and this will be our new to go to Mexican food place.

THE BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS IN BOULDER COUNTY! Only $5 for a HUGE burrito packed with ingredients- so it’s also one of the best deals in Boulder County 😆😍 they also have a fresh salsa bar- the red is very (perfectly) spicy and the green (avocado something?) is my favorite! The service is fast. There are several bar seats so you can eat in or take it to go. Delicious!

I love this place. The tacos are the best in Boulder County. The red hot sauce will leave your upper lip and eyes sweating. The staff are friendly. No fuss or frills. Only a few barstools inside, so plan to take it to go. Delicious and authentic tamales too.

The tacos are absolutely amazing - choose your own salsa so as spicy as you like. Incredible value - real food, real good. Just a hole in the wall strip mall location with a few seats but the atmosphere means nothing as you inhale this deliciousness.

These are some of the best street tacos I've had! I had to try their tamales of course, and they were also amazing, though it's a bit of a project to get through all the chala. Their service is also great, fast and friendly!

Friendly staff, yummy tacos. Prices are fair, and I love their grab and go salsa stand! The horchata was kind of watery, but I do recommend their churros. I am also somewhat disappointed at the amount of styrofoam they use.

The best damn tacos and breakfast burritos in all of Denver. It's a drive but always worth it. There is a reason they are nationally ranked. You can also buy their salsa in a variety of sizes that's way better than anything store bought.

Oh, what can one say about a nearly perfect taco shop? Healthy? Not necessarily. Delicious? Absolutely. Friendly and welcoming to a guy asking questions about the various offerings, the staff is fun and quick. The sideboard with salsas and extras is well stocked. They do a great job cooking those peripheral meats like lengua and whatnot. To-go orders well wrapped to travel. I went during a lunch rush and they got me through in good time. A co-worker recommended this place multiple times, and I have been a fool for not taking her advice earlier. It's the kind of place where regulars are recognized. Don't expect fancy, just down home, with lots of options. Finally found an authentic taco shop in Lafayette/Louisville, a key aspect to calling a new place "home".

Ay Ay Ay Tacos is an amazing place to eat. Their food is always on point. Whatever you order they get everything right down to the details of your order. My wife and I love their happy hour just as much as anyone else does looking for good food for a great price. But even after happy hour they have prices you can't beat. My wife and I could eat for less than $12.00 during happy hour and still have leftovers. And after happy hour we can still eat for under $20.00 with a can soda each. Food is always great and always fresh, plus their salsas are so tasty. We would highly recommend this place to eat genuine Mexican food. They do not disappoint. They also cater as well which is a plus. They were able to cater for my friend's weeding which had 300 guests. Everyone at the wedding was more than happy to eat their delicious food. If we could give more than a 5 star rating, this place deserves a 10 no questions asked.

Tacos were great. Very generous with all the fixings. I usually don't eat the 2nd tortilla but did with these because they tasted great. Shrimp tacos were little bay shrimps without much flavor. Only thing I wouldn't get again. Not much seating.

Best authentic Mexican food in northern Colorado! Tortillas are so doughy and good! Reasonably priced as well.

Lot of good tacos in the area, but this place is the best. Quesedillas and burritos are also great. Make sure enough grab some hot sauce.. Can't wait to try the torta

This is the best taco shop in Lafayette, Broomfield, Erie, Boulder, Louisville, etc. Highly recommend this place. The only reason I am placing the atmosphere as a 3 is there really is no place to sit and eat. It's more of a grab and go.
