Jensen's Foods

The hot food bar is really good for a quick lunch. The day I went it was Italian-American style dishes and I got a creamy chicken penne, shrimp linguine, and roasted vegetables. It all tasted very good and the ingredient quality and preparation rivaled what you’d find in a nice restaurant, way better than what I expected from this kind of serve-yourself hot food line.

The meat counter is clean and the meats are great. The deli and hot foods are really tasty. This is the only grocery store I enjoy visiting. The employees are also a great bunch of people and it shows.

We were having a short vacation and this was the closest grocery store in our airbnb and we love it coz we found everything we need in this place. Plus the prices are not bad. They also have some booze and good wine if you are looking for some drinks.

Last weekend, I asked an employee that I saw in the parking lot when I could get some of your incredible chili. He went inside and came back and told me that Thursday was the day. So all day today I was looking forward to getting a big container, but when I checked, there was no chili available. I asked at the deli and was told that Friday was the day for chili. But Roberto, the person responsible for that great chili, got me a large container anyway.

I stumbled upon Jensen's after a bike ride around Point Loma. We stopped in for a snack and were blown away by their lunch selection. There are several types of cold sandwiches, paninis and hot food they will warm for you, three selections of hot soup, noodles, sushi, baked goods... On top of that their produce is beautiful, they hold a variety of interesting pantry items and everyone who works there is so sweet and helpful. I'll drive here from South Park every week or so to load up on groceries. Just an overall great shopping experience.

Thus us one of the very best grocery stores in the County. Try the hot food bar... really good. Good grocery prices. Clean store and bathrooms. The service is unmatched.

Came for the Amazon locker and stayed for the great produce and quality choices throughout the store. They have everything here and local foods too. They even have dog food and veggie options.

Exceptional ‘Oven Roasted Turkey and Bacon’ sandwich. We prefer on whole grain bread. Jensen’s is one of our favorite lunch spots when we visit Point Loma.

After grabbing our sandwiches and drinks at Jensen’s, we take a short trip over to Shelter Island Drive to enjoy our sandwiches in the car or at the picnic tables!

Must be one of the greatest grocery stores in the world, without question the best selection of quality steaks and beef I have ever seen.

I picked some fresh brats from the meat counter. I cooked them on the grill at home, and they turned out excellent! Added some fresh sauerkraut, curry ketchup (not shown), and it was a great meal.

The green hatch Chile soup was one of the best soups I’ve ever had - extremely evident that the folks here care for their customers and for doing great work. God bless you all!

Love this store. They have fresh food and gyros plus they have chicken and sushi. Can't forget the grocerys and best vegetables and fruits. Come check them out you won't regret it.

Hands down, the BEST grocery store of all time. A little pricey compared to bigger stores, but they have amazing staff and stuff you just can't get anywhere else. The meat dept. Is exceptionally well done.

Although it might be a bit more expensive than its competitors, the quality is outstanding. Try their turkey bacon sandwich, trust me. meat and fish, phenomenal. Great selection of artisan goods. The most extensive selection of hot sauces is only second to a hot sauce store that sells nothing else. There are never any lines you have to wait in for longer than 2-3min and I feel more relaxed after shopping there, which is entirely opposite to how I feel after visiting any other grocery store. 5/5 any day of the month.

Jensen's feels like the neighborhood grocery store I grew up with. It's not your mega mart. Meat department offers a good variety of meats. Produce was fine better than your Von's or Ralph's. Staff is friendly. Prices were on a par with other markets. I haven't tried the deli but it has some attractive prepared food offerings. Staff at the deli was quick to offer assistance even tho I was just looking. I don't live in the area and drive about 30 mins. to get there but to me it is worth it

The store is big and spacious. If you come hungry than that have meals to choose from and a large variety at their salad bar. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The store itself was bright and clean.

What an absolute hidden gem of a grocery store! Great produce selection as well as freshness! Such a great experience from beginning to end!

We had a small family and friends gathering ( adults and kids) on Sunday, May 29, for about 20 people at a condo clubhouse/pool. I worked with Chef Julius and Chef Marcello at the Point Loma Jensen's, and was so very impressed, start to finish. Both Chefs were easy to work with and made recommendations that turned out to be popular for the group. We had whole quartered chicken, baby back ribs, sliders, beans, chicken tenders, 3 different salads, potato wedges, and some sides. The pickup was seamless, with everything wrapped to stay hot or cold, and boxed for ease of taking. Store staff were ready when I got there, and helpful. What a gem to have in Point Loma! Great catering, great service, great people! Customer came first and was treated well! Congrats to Chef Julius, Chef Marcello and the catering staff for a job very well done!

The cashier was nice enough to put his phone away after I had been standing there for a long akward moment waiting for him to notice me. Love this place.
