Night and Day Cafe - A must visit meal spot when visiting Coronado!
We had a breakfast burrito and the Mimosa Flight both of which were Amazing!
The staff was excellent, the food portions are huge!
You won’t be disappointed by this restaurant.

I got the Machado Breakfast Burrito and lemme tell you... It was so good! I even subbed my hash browns for a blueberry pancake. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were great! I'm usually very picky about pancakes but Arturo did a great job! I came all the way from LA on a day trip and will have to come back for this place.

If you like the food, remember to buy your cook a beer!

This place, the food and the employees are outstanding! There aren’t many seats, and if for some reason they’re all full, it’s worth the wait! Serving breakfast all day, you watch the chef make your food right in front of you and the staff members are so personable! A favorite every time I visit!

Awesome little place with super friendly staff. Not many seats but super good eats! Did not have a problem finding seating at all when I was there. Indoor bar-style seating as well as some nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk, cafe style. Right across from the movie theatre. Grab a beer and some tacos before you see a movie. Great times!

Loved watching the line cooks in action. The food was fantastic, the service great, the teamwork - wow! The staff had a great sense of humor. One of the absolute best stops on our trip. High recommend if you like the diner atmosphere.

Update. Came back a year later and I really need to remember to look at my review before we order. We rolled out of the place! Still a top recommend

Hands down my favorite location for breakfast ever. Huge portions. Great taste. Lightning fast service. If you get the opportunity, wit at the counter and watch the cooks put on a show with how fast they put together a meal without ever slowing down. Servers are friendly and always ready for you. I've been eating here 20+ years and brought my wife here 7 years ago. Every single trip to San Diego we eat here. Writing this review makes me want to take a trip right now.

Dropped in for breakfast around 8 a.m. on a Thursday summer morning. There is parallel parking along Orange Ave. out front as well as the side streets surrounding the establishment.
Found open seats at the bar. Seating is very limited inside with around 10-12 seats at the bar but there were around six tables outside on the patio. Overall cleanliness was top notch. You can tell the employees take pride in keeping a tight ship.
Menu selection is quite varied with more than enough options to curb your appetite and/or thirst. The coffee was decent. Settled on the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and hash. Cesar, the chef, cooked a heck of a meal and it was an experience watching him throw down on the griddle behind the counter. The man knows what he is doing. Service was better than most. Highly recommend this place if you are on the island.

Small and mighty good! The huevos rancheros was amazing. The red sauce was so good I could have licked the plate. The waitress was super nice and I'm already planning to go tomorrow for the dish she recommended.

Seating is limited here, so expect a wait. Inside, it is all bar countertop seating, but outside they have several patio tables. Workers were all very friendly.

We were looking for a little place to grab some good food. WOW did we stumble into an incredible find. The folks that waited on us were so attentive and helpful! And the food was incredible. My granddaughter had her stomach set on a Blueberry pancake and she got a pancake that was bigger than her face. It was so good we had to take what she couldn't finish so she could have it for breakfast the next day. There was even a shift change while we were there and the next crew was just as great as the first team that waited on us. The cheese burger and fries was just what the Dr Ordered and was as good a burger as I have ever had. Two thumbs up for this little hidden jewel.

Delicious food with large portions. The service isn't super fast, but everyone is friendly and this place has a relaxed, fun vibe.

We enjoyed our breakfast dishes at Night and Day cafe. I got the burrito and my husband got eggs, pancakes, and bacon. It has a casual diner feel. We sat at the bar. The breakfast burrito is large and could be split for two. We had great service as well. It was a bit expensive but we enjoyed it and are glad we came.

Our server was Estephania from chile, she was awesome. I came here for the first time with my 3 y/o son and we both loved her service. She was kind and sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Her interactions with my son were pure and wholesome. Only had high seats inside so my son and I sat outside and it was a little chilly, but nonetheless food was great, would definitely recommend.

So many things I could have ordered, the options on this menu are vast, delicious, and represent both the American diner the place started as as well as the Mexican roots of the owner. If you like good food this super friendly, no fuss but all flavour place, is one of your best options on Coronado. Went with my kids who loved the huge pancakes, soft french toast, and crispy fries. I had the BLT-A, tried some of my dads fish tacos and my wife’s chorizo burrito, and look forward to going back for it all again sometime soon.

Good quick service, seems this place gets crowded for breakfast. I went in the middle of the day and had a great Carne Asada burrito 🌯 it’s small, so not a lot of seats beyond a small sidewalk setup and the bar. Friendly service!

This place is a true Diner. Barely wider than an RV. There is a counter inside that seats maybe 12. More tables outside. They have patio heaters. Great diner food and good size portions. Friendly staff. This place is usually packed, and you’re lucky if you find a lull during the day.
It’s always fun to sit inside and watch them cook.
Recommended: Battered Fish Tacos, Adobada street tacos, The Breakfast Sandwich and their Burgers. Tacos are 1/2 price on Tuesdays. Selection of tap beers and bottled. This place is always very clean.
