This store is fantastic. A great selection of everything, especially for the size of the shop seemingly (it's deep).
The staff is super helpful and knows a lot about finding which I do not. The young gentleman Fab... (I'm sorry, I totally forgot 12/22 pm employee) answered all my questions, and I had a few.
I've been before and I will be back.

As a first time Illinois Hunter I went there to get my licenses. They were very knowledgeable on what I needed and did not need.

Dave's is likely the best tackle shop in McHenry county! Dave himself is extremely knowledgeable and carries desirable products from all the brands you hear about. Whether its a quality rod and reel you are looking for, or just a restock on your soft plastic, Dave's likely has you covered!

this is most likely the best fishing store I have seen in a while they have a huge variety of baits live and fake will definitely be comin back soon. it’s like a mini bass pro.

Great place to get your deer processed. Turn around time for processing was about 6 to 8 weeks for specialty cuts. In my experience, that's pretty fast! The quality of the cuts and packaging is high as well. Prices are good as well. I will definitely be bringing them more deer for processing. Also, great place to pick up bait and tackle. Good selection and you can help support small business.

The gentleman at the front was awesome. Super chill and friendly. I only needed a gift cert and we handled that quickly. Had to bring my kiddo with and she really enjoyed walking through and checking out all the lures her dad could use! Great bate shop, great prices, friendly people. #ShopLocal!!

Honestly i was vary impressed with how much they have in there to choose from. Also i was looking into buying a new bait caster, first 1 at that. Not only did he line the reel he also showed me how to use and set up the reel, also gave me a great setup. That kind of personality and conversation is worth more then money, thank you for the help

I love Dave's. Dave is so friendly and knowledgeable. Always has the best info too. Prices are good bait is fresh and he has an amazing selection of gear. My only beef is I have to drive across town and back to fish CL. Maybe a Dave's west?

Great people and great products. The staff are all very friendly and know their products well. Fantastic selection of tackle, rods, and reels. They always have the bait and the selection I need, when I need it. I pass other bait shops and "big box" stores just to go here. Keep up the good work.

I love this place. I used to go to Anglers International Resources in Palatine also a great store. If your ever in that area. However ill keep going to Daves Bait and tackle before any big retailer. Very local and tge hours are great. I love that they clean and oil reels. Great price

I love this place. Has the selection of a Bass Pro shops and easier to navigate than Cabelas. Here is a little secret that makes them even better, they offer club tournament discounts, just mention it at checkout.

Awesome selection of gear and the employees are always very helpful and friendly. There are places to go for fishing tackle that are closer to us than Dave’s, but we’re willing to do the extra driving because it’s just a better store.

Great selection of artificial and live baits! From muskie to salmon trolling to bass and walleye, they have the right baits to stretch your string. Plus archery stuff too!
