Huge shout out to all the staff here. Every single time I visit, there are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful people who clearly love the hobby gear they sell. Everyone has been great, but I gotta give a particular shout out to Nova for them, taking the time to talk me and my SO into trying out Blood Bowl.

My wife and I are new to Minneapolis; we dropped by the shop yesterday and had a terrific time. We were helped by two extremely knowledgeable, friendly workers. The space seems inclusive and has a great selection of games. Great first experience. Can't wait to go back.

This place is exactly the sort of store that I would take someone to if they were starting to become interested in Tabletop gaming. With the ceramic tile floors and the very display oriented shelving showing off tons of games and their colorful box art, it quickly establishes how far we've come from Monopoly. There are also lots of gaming oriented knick-knacks and niche miniature gaming supplies that aren't always easy to find at other stores. The prices here are definitely MSRP focused with very little in the way of discounts and compared to online retailers you're going to spend a little extra. However, why do we go to a physical store in the first place rather than staying in the comfort of our own homes and just ordering whatever we need online? For me it's for the opportunity to walk around and browse everything in person, or to soak in some of the culture of your local gaming scene, or to have a fun conversation with the staff. You're going for that added atmosphere and tactile experience and it's hard to get much better than this little store.

Your friendly neighborhood game store. If they don’t have it they’ll get it. Huge selection, nice gaming room and the best employees out there. This 45 year old Twin Cities gamer can’t recommend them high enough. 6 stars!

Brought my five-year-old niece here - the salesperson was so nice and when they found out we were there for a standard chess/checkers game set for the family, they showed us the kids' section and recommended a few simple strategy games that could help kids start getting a feel for more complicated ones. So in addition to the chess/checkers set, we got a Gobblet Gobblers game and when we got home it was a hit with the whole family! Thank you for such great guidance!!

I came for the selection and I stayed for the people. Staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. This store fosters an incredibly respectful and inclusive gaming community. Nightly themed event nights in the back room with six gaming tables big enough for wargaming. THE place to go in the cities for wargaming/hobby supplies/board games.

I’ve become a big fan of Tower Games! Been here for both a MTG pre-release and just browsing to get some board games, been really happy with the staff and general vibes both times. Last time I was in, the cashier let me know I could get an item free if I bought one more thing for a Labor Day sale I didn’t know about, which I super appreciated

I love my neighborhood game shop! I enjoy the gaming events, fantastic selection of games, and very friendly staff. There are daily events in the back room — table top open play, D&D, Magic, Star Wars X-wing, War Hammer, and more. There is a small fee for the events, snacks and NA beverages sold or bring what you prefer.

As an NB, I appreciate that they have done away with the unnecessarily binary gendered bathrooms. Welcome all gender fabulous folks!

Tower games is a fantastic hobby store! They have a wide variety of models, paints, games, plushies. The folks there have helped me get started with my first Warhammer models. They've impressed my wife and I with their robust knowledge of the games there. We have enjoyed all the games they recommended.

This is my go to spot now for Warhammer models and hobby supplies.

As a miniature painter this is my favorite shop in the cities. Great selection (Pro Acryl, Veljo, Army Painter, Citadel, etc) with a friendly and helpful staff.

They did a fantastic job with th remodel this summer. The aisles seem less cramped, and it seems like somehow they have even more board games and rpg material without Loosing any space for painting. If you haven't been there in a while check it out.

Fantastic ambiance and an extensive, well organized selection packed into their space. Great place to browse without feeling like you're "on display." Will return!

Stopped in on a rainy afternoon. Walked in, greeted by all the employees and immediately struck up a conversation on indie RPGs. I received some great suggestions. The staff was very helpful in ordering an item that wasn't in stock. I will definitely be adding it to my regular rotation to check out new RPGs.

Great game store in South Minneapolis that has Warhammer, D&D/Pathfinder/RPG, and a ton of fun analog games that you won’t find at Target.

I've always been a big fan of tower games. They were a popular spot for hosting game nights, but have recently converted a lot of that space to extra merchandising shelves they still do lots of games in the back where you can use their terrain pieces. They've done a really good job of adapting to COVID and I'm always happy to shop there for DnD, 40k, and all my other board gaming/miniature painting needs.

Edit: still my favorite place to grab miniature hobby stuff

Update 2: still my go-to.
